The midwestern tornado season is in full swing and thus far it is staying true to form, killing one person as it cut through Barnsdall, Oklahoma:

Oklahoma on Monday night, meanwhile, got walloped with a real humdinger of a tornado outbreak — and some folks at a Hampton Inn in the northeast part of the state were lucky to live through it:

If the wind is going like this, and the sky is looking like this, you’ve already waited too long. Find shelter before it gets this bad, not after!

This was clearly a bad twister — all the more so because it showed up at night, when it’s much harder to spot:
