Having apparently put behind him the reality he pursued a lawsuit against the widow of an American hero in former Navy Seal Chris Kyle, who shared two young children with her husband, Jesse Ventura believes he can best both President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump in a hypothetical match-up.

“If I had ballot access in all 50 states and I were allowed to debate, I could beat these two major party candidates,” Ventura said Thursday on CNN’s Erin Burnett OutFront, before joking that he would be the youngest candidate in the race.

The bold prediction from the 72-year-old former governor of Minnesota came during a focus on Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s independent White House bid. To hear Ventura tell it, he would be more likable than Biden and Trump.

Ventura, who was reportedly on a shortlist to be RFK Jr.’s vice presidential pick, ran as an independent when he was elected governor and he dismissed any talk about third-party candidates being “spoilers.”

“Third parties are not spoilers. When you go to vote and do your civic duty, you vote for the candidate or the person that you most wanna … to be the president of the United States, irregardless of their party,” he said. “If you go vote for the person you want as president, then you’ve done your civic duty.”

“Where do we get off calling it ‘spoiler,’ because you don’t vote Democrat or Republican?” Ventura added, charging that the media is “locked into the two-party dictatorship.”

Suffice it to say, social media users were not convinced the former professional wrestler could “beat an egg.”
