While speaking to the press at the G7 Summit in Italy this week, President Biden once again said he would respect the court’s decision and not pardon his son Hunter Biden.

The embattled First Son was convicted on all three counts related to federal gun charges this week.

“I’m extremely proud of my son, Hunter. He has overcome an addiction. He’s one of the brightest, most decent men I know,” Biden said.

Hunter’s three counts carry up to 25 years in prison. But whether the president’s son serves time behind bars will be up to Trump-appointed U.S. District Judge Maryellen Noreika.

No date has been set for sentencing.
