House Republicans quietly passed a bill on Wednesday that adds a citizenship question to the next U.S. census.

The “Equal Representation Act” would “also exclude non-citizens from the population count when factoring how many lawmakers in the House of Representatives each state gets, as well as the number of electors for all 50 states,” Fox News Digital reports.

Not a single Democrat voted for it — a fact that, according to Elon Musk, is quite telling.

“Unanimous Democrat opposition to requiring citizenship for apportionment of House seats and Presidential electoral college votes says it all,” Musk wrote on X.

“The Democratic Party goal is to disenfranchise US citizens by importing as many illegal immigrants as possible,” he stated. “Given the massive influx of illegals from every country on Earth, 2024 will probably be the last election actually decided by US citizens.”

Musk has warned of the census issue in past posts.

“Most Americans are still unaware that the census counts ALL people, including illegal immigrants, for deciding how many House seats each state gets!” he stated in March. “This results in Dem states getting roughly 20 more House seats, which is another strong incentive for them not to deport illegals.”

“And House seats determine how many votes each state has in the electoral college,” Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) replied.

“So although illegal aliens don’t vote, they can determine the outcome of Presidential races,” the Congressman cautioned Americans. “Kentucky has 6 representatives, but California likely has 6 extra seats due to illegal immigration!”

The Census Bureau explains:

Apportionment is the process of dividing the 435 memberships, or seats, in the U.S. House of Representatives among the 50 states based on the apportionment population counts from the decennial census.

The apportionment population count for each of the 50 states includes the state’s total resident population plus a count of the overseas federal employees (and their dependents living with them overseas) who have that state listed as their home state in their employers’ administrative records.

News of the Democrats’ unwillingness to support the inclusion of illegal migrants in the census has further split the political chasm, with conservatives furious over the implications.

The Democrats’ vote “tells you exactly what Biden’s open border is really about,” House Majority Leader Steve Scalise stated.

“The Left is already laying the groundwork to let illegals vote in our elections,” said Rep. Jeff Van Drew (R-N.J.). “So, it is no surprise that 202 Democrats just opposed requiring a citizenship question on the Census. They know that more illegals = more seats in Congress.”

“The census should ONLY count U.S. citizens,” according to Rep. Tom Tiffany (R-Wis.). “Unfortunately, EVERY House Democrat voted to give illegal aliens representation in Congress.”
