Donald Trump’s youngest child is all grown up and poised to enter the world of politics. The 18-year-old is set to graduate from high school on May 17.

Barron will graduate from Oxbridge Academy, a private school near Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach. Last month the question of whether or not Trump would miss his son’s graduation was up in the air because he is required to be in the courtroom in Manhattan for the bogus hush money trial. The Democrat partisan and campaign contributor judge in the case has granted permission for Barron’s father to attend the ceremony.

Two months after graduation, Barron will be in Milwaukee as a member of the Florida delegation to the Republican National Convention. He and his other siblings were nominated as members of the 41 at-large delegation announced by the Republican Party of Florida on Friday. Missing from the Trump family list is Ivanka Trump.

Barron’s half-brothers Donald Trump, Jr. and Eric Trump are on the list, as is his half-sister Tiffany Trump, who is listed under her married name, Tiffany Boulos.

Eric Trump, executive vice president of the Trump Organization, will serve as chair of the Florida delegation. Lara Trump, Eric’s wife, is co-chair of the RNC.

Other delegates with connections to the former president include Kimberly Guilfoyle, Donald Trump Jr.’s fiancée; Michael Boulos, Tiffany Trump’s husband; former Florida attorney general Pam Bondi; Sergio Gor, a member of Trump’s 2020 campaign team; Issac Perlmutter, former Marvel chairman and billionaire Trump supporter; Steve Witkoff, a Florida real estate investor and Trump donor; Sue Snowden, the chair of the Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign in Palm Beach County; and Florida state Rep. Randy Fine, the first Republican state lawmaker to announce his defection last year from the presidential campaign of Trump foe and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) to Trump.

It’s Trump’s Republican Party. The family is claiming its stake in it.

The chairman of the Republican Party in Florida made a brief statement.

“We are fortunate to have a great group of grass-roots leaders, elected officials, and members of the Trump family working together as part of the Florida delegation to the 2024 Republican National Convention,” said Evan Power, the chairman of the Florida GOP.

Barron has mostly remained out of the spotlight as he grew up in his father’s political world, thanks to his mother, Melania. To her credit, she has been very protective of Barron’s privacy and made him her top priority. Let the haters hate. Melania’s been a good mom.

He will be eligible to cast his first votes in the August primary and in the November election. Before then, he will apparently cast a ballot as an at-large Sunshine State delegate to officially designate his father at the RNC confab as the GOP’s presidential nominee for the third time.

Melania Trump officially re-entered the political scene last month. She headlined a sold-out event at Mar-a-Lago to benefit the Log Cabin Republicans. The event’s theme was “Road to Victory” and Melania stressed a call for unity among Republicans. The Road to Victory plan is a voter-turnout program that focuses on gay voters in swing states.
