A massive mob of anti-Israel protesters marched on the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City in an effort to disrupt the glitzy Met-Gala that was thwarted by police.

On Monday, hundreds of useful idiots for the Hamas terror organization took to the streets on Holocaust Remembrance Day, targeting the star-studded event as many waved Palestinian flags and chanted “Disclose, divest, we will not stop, we will not rest,” and “Gaza! Gaza!” but thanks to a stellar effort by New York’s finest, they failed to accomplish their objective.

Police had set up barricades and used crowd management techniques to divert the mob to Central Park where they blocked the exits, confining them to the area while making dozens of arrests.

The protest was a part of the so-called “Day of Rage” organized by the group Within Our Lifetime, a militant anti-Israel group that promotes the Palestinian cause and is demanding a ceasefire in Gaza.

Video footage of the protesters and police was posted to X, formerly known as Twitter.

While the raving Hamas-bots were kept away from the Met Gala, they did vandalize a World War I memorial in Central Park, showing that the protests are as much about hate for America and western civilization as a whole as they are about Gaza.

Members of the mob clambered onto the 107th Infantry Memorial memorial and waved a Palestinian flag as other burned an American one at the statue’s base.

“Another Central Park monument, the Civil War Gen. William Tecumseh Sherman bronze statue in Grand Army Plaza, was also vandalized Monday night,” the New York Post reported. “’Free Gaza’ was graffitied in red letters on the base of the memorial and a Palestinian flag was affixed to its front.

Many have predicted that the protests that have disrupted graduations on college campuses across the country – including New York City’s Columbia University – would spread to the streets, and now it’s happening.
