We’ve all had the chance to meet a three-legged dog every now and then.

Some local legends, meanwhile, have even posited the existence of a rare two-legged dog.

Still, among the most legendary of all the dog myths is the fabled Five-Legged Dog — and now one is available for adoption in the far-off mystical lands of Wis-Con-Sin:

A puppy named Bella is up for adoption in Wisconsin but unlike other shelter dogs, Bella has a unique physical characteristic that sets her apart.

The six-month-old canine with a brindle coat was born with five legs – a rare congenital condition called dimelia, according to the Wisconsin Humane Society, where Bella is currently under the care of.

Here she is, the long-hoped-for canine quinuped:

And here, since we’re all waiting for it, is her fifth leg:

It’s…it’s…

Actually I guess it’s not that impressive. Really, it’s more like an XL 4th leg, LIke a double leg. But maybe it’s technically a fifth leg?

The pup is blessed with “a wider-than-usual right hind leg and extra toes,” which in the end works out to a fifth leg. Here’s her x-ray:

Bella comes equipped with a jumbo-sized paw, too:

The extra leg hasn’t slowed her down, however; she is up for adoption because her previous owners found her “too rambunctious.”

Looks like she’s got a big heart to go along with that fifth leg!
