The Boone County Sheriff’s Office might singlehanded save civilization from population collapse.

They welcomed 15 babies to their detectives and deputies between late 2022 and the end of 2023.

The Boone County Sheriff’s Auxiliary organized a picture of all the babies together, which was quite a feat considering the round-the-clock work schedule that all of the new parents work, not to mention 15 squirming babies and toddlers!

Public information officer Major Philip Ridgell told Good Morning America,

We knew that a lot of our deputies were having children. But man, when you look at that picture, it really puts it into some perspective.

The 15 new moms and dads only represent about 10% of the sheriff’s deputies in the county, but that’s a very significant baby boom for the department to have in just one year.

Ridgell went on to say,

Our agency is made up of men and women who have deep ties to the community. Oftentimes, many of them were born and raised here and we’re more committed and more now than one way, to this county and ensuring its safety.

I’m sure that ensuring the safety of those 15 precious babies is that much more motivation for these officers as they serve their community every day!
