Veganism is one of the worst factions among the left because it combines all the worst parts about Progressives in one extreme bubble. So of course, it would be promoted by “the science,” which is actually just political science. Because only the left would take 12 dogs, de facto starve them, and then call that “compelling” evidence to further torture your pooch.

I know none of that made sense but don’t expect these things to make sense because that’s the way the cookie crumbles on the vegan bandwagon.

A new “study” allegedly “proves” that dogs can “thrive” on a vegan diet. And it goes without saying that that is a load of crap but for laughs, let’s take a look.

According to the Vet Times:

A total of 15 participating dogs were fed a commercially available plant-based diet containing pea protein for a year, having been served meat-based alternatives for at least the same length of time before that.

Wow. Less than 20 dogs. What a great sample size. And what the heck is “pea protein”?

The analysis found 12 of them had maintained a normal body condition score during the research period, while three that were either overweight or obese when they enrolled reduced theirs.

How on earth is that even evidence? The “researchers” essentially starved the dogs and called it a “success” because they didn’t gain weight. That’s not a success, that’s puppy abuse.

Vitamin D levels were normalised during the study period, after seven of the dogs initially presented with insufficient levels, while increased presence of L-taurine and L-carnitine was also recorded.

If that had anything to do with the repulsive pea powder it’s likely because it’s fortified with synthetic vitamins. There is no way processed peas in an unnatural alien form will supply sufficient Vitamin D.

She added: “Our study offers new evidence on outcomes in clinically healthy dogs who thrive without consumption of animal-derived ingredients. Notably, foods produced independent of factory farming are also more sustainable and ethical.”

Basically, the dogs did not die. And they call this “thriving.” That’s ridiculous. You can likely feed a lot of animals with just peas and they won’t die in a year. It is also unclear if there were more than 15 animals in the study but they were withdrawn to have a biased sample size.

The only reason someone would feed dogs solely peas for an entire year is because they have an agenda. No legitimate or competent scientist would even think about doing that.

There is no reason to “study” a vegetarian diet for dogs. Just put broccoli in front of them as well as a steak. What they decide to eat will tell you all you need to know.

Dogs are not dumb, if they were truly vegetarians they would let us know. All of this is logically equivalent to testing if a rabbit is a carnivore. We already know that answer and quite frankly, testing asinine diets for animals is abuse. But more often than not, “the science,” aka political science, ends up hurting the ones it’s supposed to help.
