Apparently the guy took multiple shots at the raccoon, which he said had been chasing after him, and it’s still unclear whether any of the shots actually made contact with the animal.

The unidentified man took aim and shot multiple times at the raccoon in broad daylight from point-blank range as it walked along the sidewalk in front of a Springfield Garden house around 10:30 a.m., authorities said.
