Former GOP presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy laid into President Biden’s dubious claim that the U.S. economy is the strongest in the world during Thursday night’s Hannity. Joe’s claim comes on the heels of an anemic 1.6% GDP announcement and at a time when one in four Americans have struggled to afford food.

“Great job, Joe — the country is starving,” Hannity said, hammering Biden before kicking it to Ramaswamy.

“I think he’s wildly out of touch,” Ramaswamy said. “My parents came to this country with no money 40 years ago, I’ve founded multi-billion dollar companies. And I worry that American dream won’t exist for our kids and their generation.”

“The numbers coming out now back that up. On the one hand, you see inflation ticking back up. On the other hand, GDP growth has flattened. There’s a word for that: stagflation — and it put Jimmy Carter out of the White House,” Ramaswamy continues.

“It’s not a surprise you see the poll numbers where they are with the economy and the border — not culture war issues: the economy and the border at the number one and number two concerns for all Americans. And I think that’s where it should be.”
