American universities are cracking down on disruptive political protests regarding the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas.
Emory University became the site of one such crack-down when the school released a statement, which reads: “These individuals are not members of our community. They are activists attempting to disrupt our university as our students finish classes and prepare for finals. Emory does not tolerate vandalism or other criminal activity on campus.”
As the police moved through the crowd to ensure compliance with the school’s wishes, Economics Professor Caroline Fohlin was escorted to the ground while a crowd gathered around, hurling abuses at the officers.

Despite her screaming insistence that she is “a professor of economics!!!” social media couldn’t muster up much sympathy for her:
I love how she’s screaming this as she resists arrest.
As if that qualifies her to (presumably) break the law.

You are a disruptive protestor. Besides being a Professor, you’re a professor with a rap sheet.

All the more reason to arrest her, lol. I’m almost positive she’s not a fan of supply side economics and rails against capitalism/free markets to her students.

Act like a professor and not a terrorist and you may not go to jail

They’re definitely protecte(D). Probably why she seems so surprised.

It’s crazy how many teachers don’t teach anymore. Not what they’re supposed to, anyway…

“I am a professor….”
The only greater claim of some special status and narcissistic entitlement is “I am a journalist…”
