Australia continues its role as being one giant “pay attention, America” to all of us. If the lockdowns weren’t warning enough, here is a senator on a news network calling for Elon Musk to be arrested.

Australian Senator Jacqui Lambie thinks Elon Musk is a menace because of his support for free speech. More specifically, the Australian government told Elon to censor something, and he said no.

“[Elon] has absolutely no social conscience,” cries the official I’m assuming was elected by the public. “Somebody like that should be thrown in jail and the key be thrown away. That bloke should not have a right to be out there on his own ideology platform and creating hatred.”

You may be saying to yourself, “Hey, Brodigan, calling for Elon’s arrest is a bit extreme. We feel like you’re leaving out a few details.”

I am! Just wanted the video to percolate a bit.

This whole brou-ha-ha (if I may invoke a little French) started when a Christian Bishop was stabbed on a livestream. People shared the video on X-Twitter, as well as their disgust at the people who are alleged to be responsible. Seven have been arrested, and while names have not been released, we’ll just say the person doing the stabbing in the video doesn’t quite look a Methodist to me. One might call criticism of a guy stabbing a Christian to be -phobic.

Australia’s “eSafety Commissioner” called for all content about the stabbing to be removed. Countries that don’t have a right to free speech demand things be removed from the Internets all the time. But Australia, a country that once arrested a pregnant woman over something she said on Facebook, didn’t think censoring Australia was enough. The “eSafety Commissioner” — I swear that’s what she calls herself — demanded that Planet Earth be censored.

“X has now received a demand from the eSafety Commissioner that X globally withhold these posts or face a daily fine of $785,000 AUD (about $500,000 USD).”

X-Twitter declined because — and this part is key — Australia’s eSafety Commissioner doesn’t have authority in countries that aren’t Australia. Had we been under a globalist New World Order (something else Australian officials call for) that might be one thing. But we aren’t there. Yet.

Elon Musk refused to censor the entirety of the Internets and Senator Jacqui Lambie disagrees. Among those who agree with Elon? The Bishop who was stabbed.

Exit question, and this is where the “pay attention, America’ part comes in. How many progressives working in OUR COUNTRY’S GOVERNMENT do you think agree with the Australian senator? And would have Elon arrested for not removing content if our Bill of Rights didn’t get in their way?

Do we have your attention now? Because there is an election coming up in November.
