The Magnolia School of Excellence is not bringing up excellent students.

Video footage shows a fight that broke out among students at a Louisiana high school that resulted in a school resource officer having to use pepper spray to disperse the crowd.

Rather than the parents holding their kids accountable for their reprehensible behavior, the lack of accountability is further fueled by the parents complaining that the school resource officer used pepper spray. And so much so that they are claiming that the students are STILL SUFFERING from the spray.

Although I have never been pepper sprayed, I am not buying that crap for a second. Here is a thought for the parents: How about holding your kids accountable when they do something wrong instead of fueling their animal-like behavior?

According to KSLA, the school released the following statement:

“Magnolia School of Excellence prides itself on creating a safe environment conducive to learning and building strong minds and good hearts. As part of our safety plan, we have a Shreveport Police Officer on campus to maintain a safe learning environment. During an altercation between two students yesterday, the officer on duty made the decision to legally deploy pepper spray to disperse the crowd.”

In the full-length video, you can hear the kids laugh as if something funny happened. But what is actually funny is that only three percent of students are proficient in math (probably because it’s racist) and the Louisiana Department of Education gave the school an “F”, which is a downgrade from the “D” letter grade it once had.

The school takes in kids with behavioral issues (obviously), which is the only reason the school board allowed it to keep its “excellence” status even though it does an abysmal job of creating excellent students. And on top of that, the parents are no better as they point the finger at everyone else for the actions of their kids. And the funniest thing about all of this is that the school still has a graduation rate of 76 percent.

I don’t know how often fights break out at the Magnolia School of Excellence, but with the lack of accountability by parents and school officials, these kids are being set up for failure. However, with the amount of horrifying videos that have been released lately, this might be the least of our problems. Nonetheless, these things will continue to get worse as the lack of accountability continues to intensify.
