WATCH: Clashes happening as NYPD is tearing down encampment tents and making mass arrests of protesters

The New York City Police Department is tearing down tents and making mass arrests of protesters at New York University where they’ve set up an encampment.

Some are clashing with police as they forcibly remove these tents in this so-called “Liberated zone.”

First came the warning:

#BREAKING massive police presence begins MAKING ARRESTS as NYU protesters continue to defy NYPD orders to disperse as they join Columbia University by setting up ‘Liberated Zone’ occupation on NYU campus.

Then came the removal and mass arrests:
