Senator Tom Cotton (R-AR) set the left’s hair on fire after encouraging Americans to “take matters into their own hands” and physically remove anti-Israel protesters who blocked traffic while providing helpful examples for doing so.

Cotton’s first message on X was posted on Monday and it started a collective meltdown on the Left, “I encourage people who get stuck behind the pro-Hamas mobs blocking traffic: take matters into your own hands to get them out of the way. It’s time to put an end to this nonsense.”

The second one on Tuesday enraged them even further, showing “How it should be done” when it comes to removing pro-Palestinian protesters from roads. A brief video shows men unceremoniously dragging them to the side of the road.

Cue the leftist media who railed against Cotton labeling his posts “beyond dangerous” and accusing him of calling for “vigilantism.” Headline after headling exploded over his words and leftist talking heads imploded accusing him of inciting violence. All because he advised that protesters should be removed from roadways so people can go on with their lives with the dubious benefit of preventing harm to them.

“If something like this happened in Arkansas, on a bridge there, let’s just say I think there would be a lot of very wet criminals that had been tossed overboard not by law enforcement, but by the people whose road they’re blocking,” Cotton said during a Fox News interview.

“If they glued their hands to a car or the pavement, well, probably pretty painful to have their skin ripped off but I think that’s how we would handle it in Arkansas and I would encourage most people anywhere that get stuck behind criminals like this who are trying to block traffic to take matters into their own hands,” he added.

“Protesters against the American response to the Israel-Hamas war shut down multiple highways across the country Monday, including blocking the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco and Brooklyn Bridge in New York City, as well as near Chicago O’Hare International Airport,” The Hill reported.

“The demonstrators backed up traffic for miles and created rush-hour headaches for Americans while advocating against the Biden administration’s support for the Israeli military offensive in Gaza,” the media outlet added while charging Cotton with falsely claiming the protesters were “pro-Hamas.”

Screeching could be heard all over the place aimed at Cotton. Former President Obama’s speechwriter Jon Favreau stepped to the plate, taking aim at the senator which was echoed by many on social media.

“Just a U.S. Senator calling for vigilante violence,” he falsely claimed on X.

MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough predictably threw a fit over Cotton’s words.

“But here we have a guy, Tom Cotton, that went to Harvard, undergrad, and law school, served in the military, who’s talking about throwing people off the Golden Gate Bridge, ripping their skin off,” Scarborough stated. “We had a United States senator go on a network, national network, suggesting that Americans rip skin off of people’s hands because they’re aggravated and take matters into their own hands. This is just beyond stupid on his part, beyond dangerous on his part, to say this. And I must say, this goes – Tom Cotton that used to be on this show, pre-Trump, would never have said something like this. Never.”

“The Tom Cotton that we interviewed time and again on this show would have never said anything like this,” he added throwing in a barb against former President Trump. “This shows how violence and violent rhetoric has become normal practice in the Republican Party. These are the people who are preparing for a guy who has promised to be a dictator from day one.”

Then came the flawed comparison to Cotton’s 2020 op-ed in the New York Times titled “Send in the Troops.” The senator called for the National Guard to be employed nationwide to handle violent protests following the death of George Floyd. That resulted in the NYT asserting that Cotton’s op-ed “fell short of our standards and should not have been published,” after staffers threw a fit over it.

“Weeks later, Cotton publicly called on the Department of Justice to bring charges against what he called ‘mob vigilantes,’ referring to people who defaced or destroyed statues — usually statues of Confederate figures or slave owners,” The Hill wrote.

“We cannot tolerate mob rule, and we cannot allow it to go unpunished,” Cotton contended in 2020. “And soon enough, the mob may come for you and your home and your family Mob rule can only serve to demoralize our people and shake their faith in our government and our way of life. As the mob rises, civilization recedes.”

The Arkansas senator has long been a target for the Left because of his strong stances. Stating what so many actually think about the protesters blocking roadways is yet one more excuse for them to go after Cotton.

There has been no outrage over calls for Cotton’s death on social media. Just fury over him advocating for protesters to be removed from traffic.
