Republicans appear to be incapable of taking any action to alter the wide open southern border but they continue to call attention to the egregious exploitation of U.S. immigration laws by the Biden administration.

On Tuesday, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC)  let it be known during a Judiciary Committee hearing that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has confirmed that the illegal immigrant charged in the brutal murder of Augusta University nursing school student Laken Riley was paroled into the country illegally.

According to DHS, Jose Antonio Ibarra, a Venezuelan national, was granted “parole due to detention capacity at the Central Processing Center in El Paso, Texas.” Ibarra was paroled into the United States in September 2022, and was arrested in February 2024 for allegedly killing Riley while she was jogging at the University of Georgia in Athens — the illegal immigrant has been charged with malice murder, felony murder, aggravated battery, aggravated assault, false imprisonment, kidnapping, hindering a 911 call and concealing the death of another person.

“DHS just confirmed to me that the man charged with Laken Riley’s murder was paroled into the U.S. illegally, ‘due to detention capacity at the Central Processing Center in El Paso, Texas.’ He wasn’t granted parole because he provided a significant benefit to the country or that he had a humanitarian need, as the law requires. The Biden Administration is breaking the law at the expense of innocent Americans,” Graham tweeted.

Then again, Democrats appear to be more than willing to sacrifice even children in their quest for political power, which is the end game of allowing 10 million-plus illegal immigrants into the United States on President Biden’s watch.
