A pro-Hamas protester named Riddhi Patel went on an unhinged and psychotic rant where she threatened to murder Bakersfield Mayor Karen Goh.

Subsequently, Patel was arrested following her comments and is facing 16 felonies.

You may be a bit confused as to how a city in California is actually taking such a threat seriously by enforcing the law. Well, in Bakersfield, they actually prosecute criminals and hold people accountable. It is also the most conservative city in the state but that may or may not be relevant.

Pretty comical how she stormed off but is so emotionally damaged that she had to come back for more. Nonetheless, she is still a pathetic, deranged, and abhorrent person.

According to The Bakersfield Californian:

A protester arrested inside Bakersfield City Council chambers Wednesday night is accused of 16 felony counts after she made a threatening comment to council members and the mayor.

Riddhi Patel, 28, was arrested and booked into jail on suspicion of eight counts of threatening with intent to terrorize and another eight counts of threatening certain city officials during her comments on enhanced security at the meetings.

These upgrades, used on a trial basis at the previous City Council meeting on March 28, would permanently include metal detectors and bolstered security at future City Hall meetings. They were unanimously approved by the council later in Wednesday’s meeting.

Patel’s remarks on the matter came during the public comment portion of the meeting, during which she lambasted the proposed security upgrades.

What is the problem with added security? Why would it instill so much rage in someone? That on top of her comments adds an extra level of suspicion.

“You guys want to criminalize us with metal detectors,” Patel said. “We’ll see you at your house, we’ll murder you.”

The definition of terrorism is “the unlawful use of violence and intimidation, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political aims.” I don’t know about you, but her threats sounded an awful lot like terrorism to me.

Just like Hamas is a terrorist organization, many of its supporters also believe it’s permissible to violently threaten innocent people to get their way. Not surprising at all.

Following a brief pause between public speakers, Bakersfield City Attorney Ginny Gennaro directed an officer to apprehend Patel before signaling to city Mayor Karen Goh.

“Ms. Patel, that was a threat, what you said at the end,” Goh said. “And so, the officers are going to escort you out and take care of that.”

There are many reasons as to why this story is insane. But what makes this so pathetic is that she thought that Bakersfield potentially passing a virtue-signaling resolution in support of a ceasefire would do ANYTHING to support their goals. Neither Hamas nor Israel takes recommendations from the Bakersfield City Council.

How mentally incompetent does one have to be to think this will help their asinine cause? She is basically holding the City Council accountable for a war in the Middle East. To call that unhinged is actually an understatement.

What she said was not free speech. It was a threat to kill someone. That is reprehensible behavior fueled by an evil person.

Hopefully, she is prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
