Progressives in California love felons. So much so that lawmakers spend a good chunk of their time finding ways to encourage lawlessness and make the lives of those living the thug life more easy. One of those ways is through a state law that hides the identity of criminals by preventing any police department in the state from releasing “nonviolent” mugshots.

A local police department has released mugshots of suspects but got a little creative and posted them with Lego heads to comply with the insanity of state law.

According to The Post Millennial:

A California police department published suspect images with LEGO heads instead of faces in response to a new woke state law that prohibits law enforcement agencies from posting mug shots of people accused of nonviolent offenses on social media.

The Murrieta Police Department has found a comedic way to comply with the new law and issued a series of arrest photos which consist of Lego heads with a variety of facial expressions photoshopped over the faces of suspects.

The department explained its reasoning behind the gesture in a post on Instagram.

“The Murrieta Police Department prides itself in its transparency with the community, but also honors everyone’s rights & protections as afforded by law; even suspects,” the department said.

Firstly, the law is ridiculous on its own especially considering the progressive definition of “nonviolent crime” seems to benefit the “violent crimes” a good chunk of the time. Secondly, this is an extreme overstep by Sacremento to find another way to limit local control. This should at the very least, be a precinct by precinct decision. But Liberals love their ‘one size, fits all’ approach to everything.

Democrat Gov. Gavin Newsom signed Assembly Bill 1475 into law in 2021 which prohibits local law enforcement from publishing mug shots on social media platforms if the individual is accused of a nonviolent crime, unless it would aid in the capture of the suspect; a judge orders the release of the photo; or there is an existing threat to others.

Additionally, the state expanded on the prohibition last year in amendment AB 994 Additionally, the state expanded on the prohibition last year in amendment AB 994 to include the removal of all mug shots from social media after 14 days, regardless of the crime. include the removal of all mug shots from social media after 14 days, regardless of the crime.

Each year, state lawmakers make it easier and easier for criminals to get away with crimes. But that is what Liberals do. They do anything to try and make life easier for their voting base, at the expense of law-abiding citizens. It does not matter that their job is to protect the constitution, all that matters is thinking of ways to buy more votes. And it just so happens that felons love to vote Democrat. I wonder why that is.

If these guys are voting, hands down they are voting blue.
