In an ominous campaign speech given on Friday, Joe Biden coughed his way through while claiming that “Democracy is on the ballot.”

A clip shared on X shows Biden coughing multiple times while he warns the crowd of what he believes will happen if he is not re-elected as president.

“Democracy is on the ballot. Your freedom is on the ballot,” Biden insisted.

U.S. Senator Tom Cotton (R-AR) was one of many on the right to respond to the claims by Biden in a post on X.

“Biden is trying to throw his opponent in prison, his DOJ is targeting Catholics & concerned parents, and his allies are trying to take Trump off the ballot,” Cotton explained.

Cotton then pointed out, “Yet he’s lecturing us that ‘democracy is at stake’ in 2024. Audacious!”

As we previously reported, “Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswold (D) announced that former President Donald Trump will appear on the state’s Republican primary ballot after the Supreme Court took the case regarding his eligibility to be on the ballot.”

The announcement from Griswold comes after the Colorado Supreme Court disqualified Trump from the ballot in a 4-3 decision on December 19.

The court is scheduled to hear arguments on February 8 according to the brief order that was released announcing the decision.
