Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswold (D) announced that former President Donald Trump will appear on the state’s Republican primary ballot after the Supreme Court took the case regarding his eligibility to be on the ballot.

The announcement from Griswold comes after the Colorado Supreme Court disqualified Trump from the ballot in a 4-3 decision on December 19.

Trump and the Colorado GOP appealed the decision to the Supreme Court, which agreed on Friday to hear the appeal.

Griswold began the day by posting on X, “Today, I will certify candidates to Colorado’s presidential primary ballot.”

Seven hours later, Griswold reported in another post, “Breaking: The US Supreme Court will hear the 14th Amendment case regarding Trump’s eligibility for the ballot.”

Not long thereafter, Griswold announced, “Colorado’s 2024 Presidential primary ballot is certified. The United States Supreme Court has accepted the case, and Donald Trump will appear on the ballot as a result.”

Trump supporters celebrated the announcement as they responded to Griswold. “Catturd” asked her, “Why are you a communist?”

Another told her, “You lost. The Supreme Court has taken the case. You attempted to tamper in the outcome of the 2024 election, you belong in prison.”

The court is scheduled to hear arguments on February 8 according to the brief order that was released announcing the decision.
