Let’s try a thought exercise with a  question to consider: What occupation, particularly in the current decade, has become increasingly difficult to perform and endure?
During the COVID pandemic, our doctors and nurses were stretched thin, stressed out, and overwhelmed. But healthcare professionals were widely regarded as heroes during COVID – true heroes – and they received heaping appreciation. There are teachers, no doubt, who would consider their vocation as a candidate for this discussion, claiming they are under-appreciated and unfairly targeted, and some may have a point. And, of course, firefighters have always faced major challenges.
But, if we’re being honest, is there any doubt that regular police officers, the ones on the streets every day who are interacting with the public and trying to keep our communities safe, have seen their jobs, more so than any other profession, go from difficult to impossible?
In a country of 350 million, any cop or sheriff that puts on a uniform and badge every day faces the possibility of a potentially deadly encounter. Depending on the jurisdiction, the pay for their services can be severely lacking. Based on a recent rash of retirements in departments around the nation, most towns/cities/counties are dangerously understaffed. And since the death of George Floyd in the spring of 2020, calls to “defund” their departments and impossible levels of scrutiny have continued unabated.
Seriously: Who in their right mind would want to become a police officer right now?
Perhaps because of these reasons, or maybe due to a culmination of other factors, one cop in New York City recently showed that he’d had enough and let loose on one citizen who inexplicably decided to start striking him. He was having none of it. Watch:

Finally, the cops ain’t taking it anymore.

Is it acceptable for a man to hit a woman? In almost all situations, absolutely not. But in this footage, we see a rare exception.
Here’s a good rule of thumb: Don’t hit a police officer. Ever. Don’t hit him or her for any reason, no matter how justified you may feel you are, even if you’re a relatively petite member of the fairer sex. Cops on duty are targets, and they know it. Police have been trained to be hyper-aware of their personal safety because the reality is that there are people who despise them and would like nothing better than to commit violence against them. And while this isn’t a new phenomenon, the constant vilification of cops over the past two years has just made things worse.

In the video, we don’t know for sure what type of incident the police are dealing with, be we can be certain that it was serious. We can see at least seven officers responding to what appears to be some type of domestic or community dispute. Tempers are obviously flaring, and we can sense that things might get out of hand in a hurry. It is at this point that the young woman incredibly decides to hit the officer, and she gets what’s coming to her.
What’s particularly interesting is the outrage we hear from the onlookers. We hear one man yell, “Yo, why would you do that? She’s just a little girl, bro!” But that question shouldn’t have been shouted at the cop, it should have been asked of the not-so-bright young woman lying on her back. Why would she do that? Don’t you know you should never hit a cop?

Finally, at the risk of stating the obvious, in America today there are much more effective ways to deal with police. If you have a legitimate gripe with the cops, or even an illegitimate gripe, any Democratic official will be more than happy to listen to your complaint, and we know that a complicit media will be ready and waiting to take your side. Virtually everyone has a smartphone with video capability, so take your videos and then make your case. But to approach a cop, get in his face, and then strike him? Yup, that’s a really bad idea and one that should result in you getting put on your ass and then locked up.
Good for this police officer, whoever he is, and may God bless our men and women in blue.

Ouch! Joe Rogan’s Takeaway From COVID Tyranny Is Not What Democrats Wanted To Hear

The stunning reversals by formerly reliable leftist celebrities have been stunning, but also logical. Comedian and talk show host Bill Maher continues to advocate for socialist-style economic governance, but his commitment to classical liberalism has resulted in his speaking out in favor of science in his opposition to the transgender insanity from fellow leftwingers, and his embrace of the free exchange of ideas drives his rejection of cancel culture.
Similarly, multi-billionaire Elon Musk had always considered himself to be left-of-center, but as America’s political center has shifted to the left with the Democratic Party’s base sprinting wildly to the radical fringe, the former hero of environment-minded, government-loving do-gooders has now become a pariah to Democrats thanks to his unwavering support of free speech and fundamental rejection of wokeness.
And then we have Joe Rogan.
Anyone following Rogan’s numerous recent controversies but who are unaware of his past could be excused for concluding that Rogan is a right-of-center, pragmatic conservative. But he’s not. Not only has Rogan regularly aligned with the Democrat Party, he’s steadily resided on its left-most stanchions. In the lead-up to the 2020 presidential election, for instance, Rogan didn’t just endorse a Democratic candidate, he went all-out and backed socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT).
Like a good leftist, Rogan has been vocal in his support of social safety nets for those in poverty, he’s been consistently pro-abortion, and he’s done plenty of trashing of former president Donald Trump. Yet while issues such as taxation, gun control, and climate alarmism have indicated that Rogan’s liberalism may have moderated, there is one topic more than any other that illustrates Joe Rogan’s straying off of America’s leftwing reservation: the government response to COVID.
In a recent episode of his podcast The Joe Rogan Experience, Rogan discussed the governmental tyranny during the pandemic while engaging in a back-and-forth with NFL quarterback Aaron Rogers, and Rogan made a stunning concession in the process. According to The Hill:
“Rogan added that now that the pandemic is over, ‘people are going to recognize that some serious errors were made and not repeat those.’
‘That’s the best you can get out of it. But as far as compensation for all those people that were forced to close their businesses and keep their doors shuttered and lost everything they’d worked for decades to build. Now they’re … they’re just going to be angry,’ he shared.
Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, a guest on the podcast, then asked Rogan what he would tell those people, and Rogan replied: ‘Vote Republican’”.
That’s quite a turnaround for a formerly self-professed Bernie Bro.

“*” indicates required fields

Rogan’s advice may raise some eyebrows on both sides of the political aisle, but it’s also understandable. Rogan got a front-row seat to the COVID hysteria and became Democrats’ enemy number one for a couple of weeks earlier this year thanks to his skepticism about the vaccines. When has-been rocker Neil Young decided to put forth his ‘me-or-him; ultimatum to Spotify, the leftwing mob came at Rogan with their pitchforks raised, but Rogan prevailed.
Rogan had the nerve to question the anti-science “follow the Science” crowd (for whom we must use the upper-case “S” when referring to ‘science’) and came out the other side not only stronger but enlightened.

In reality, the COVID pandemic lasted about two months. The proper response from the beginning was for state and local governments to protect their elderly and vulnerable by keeping them away from exposure, doing everything possible to assist hospitals in handling the bull rush of patients, and keeping the young and healthy working as normal to ensure local economies didn’t collapse. In states like Florida and Texas, that’s exactly what happened, and their results were exceptional. But in states such as New York, New Jersey, and California, officials decided to play the nanny state game and destroyed their states in the process with no measurable health benefits.
The midterm elections in November will not be decided by the responses to COVID, nor will they be decided by positions on abortion or any other social issue. November’s outcomes will be driven by the disastrous economy we’re currently enduring and the Democrats’ culpability in its demise. But comments like those from Joe Rogan will indeed serve as a reminder. There are plenty of reasons not to vote for a single Democrat, and the botchery and autocracy surrounding COVID is certainly worth considering.

Rosie O’Donnell Reminds America Why We Despise Hollywood

body #gform_wrapper_2 {border-width: 0; border-style: solid;background-color:#f7f7f7;padding-left:15px;padding-right:15px;padding-top:15px;padding-bottom:15px;background-color:rgba(247,247,247,1);}body #gform_wrapper_2 .gform_footer .gform_button,body #gform_wrapper_2 .gform_page_footer .gform_button,body #gform_wrapper_2 .gform_page_footer .gform_previous_button,body #gform_wrapper_2 .gform_page_footer .gform_next_button,body #gform_wrapper_2 .gfield#field_submit .gform-button{border-style: solid;font-weight: normal; font-weight: bold; border-width: 0px;}body #gform_wrapper_2 .gform_footer .gform_button:hover,body #gform_wrapper_2 .gform_page_footer .gform_button:hover,body #gform_wrapper_2 .gform_page_footer .gform_previous_button:hover,body #gform_wrapper_2 .gform_page_footer .gform_next_button:hover,body #gform_wrapper_2 .gfield#field_submit .gform-button:hover {border-style: solid;border-style: solid;}body #gform_wrapper_2 .gform_footer button.mdc-button:hover {}body #gform_wrapper_2 .gform_footer,body #gform_wrapper_2 .gform_page_footer,body #gform_wrapper_2 #field_submit.gfield {}body #gform_wrapper_2 .gfield_radio label {font-weight: normal; font-weight: bold; width: auto;}body #gform_wrapper_2 .gform_body .gform_fields .gfield .gfield_label {font-size:20px;}/* Styling for Tablets */@media only screen and ( max-width: 800px ) and ( min-width:481px ) {}/* Styling for phones */@media only screen and ( max-width: 480px ) {}/*Option to add custom CSS */
Ask yourself a simple question. We all know who Rosie O’Donnell is, considering she’s been a fairly prominent celebrity for almost four decades. But examine the logic behind her celebrity status and ask yourself: Why? Why is Ms. O’Donnell famous at all?
At one point in the 1980s, O’Donnell had a modest career as a comedian, but we dare you to come up with one memorable, laughable joke or bit that she performed. She had her own talk show for a few years, and then famously played the role of the most-left host of the insufferable program known as The View, but again, aside from perhaps a few antagonistic moments of ignorance, can you remember anything worthwhile Ms. O’Donnell ever brought to the table during that stint?
Rack your brain, if you must, but chances are your efforts will be for naught. Rosie O’Donnell’s stardom is less justified than any of the Kardashians, or Jenners, or whatever. Exactly what Rosie’s talents are is a mystery. But there is one aspect of O’Donnell’s persona that does bring us value and is indisputable. When Rosie O’Donnell weighs in on politics, she exposes the inner-most intricacies of the Hollywood and Democratic Party mindset. O’Donnell is the id of America’s left, and she gave us additional insight into that phenomenon again this week.
According to Newsweek regarding a social media back-and-forth discussing former President Donald J. Trump, O’Donnell explained:
“’OK, so we’ve proved to the citizens of the United States that no one is above the law,’ O’Donnell said on TikTok. ‘Trump’s home raided and [the FBI] seized 15 boxes. A lot of boxes seized. So, you know, there’s no civil war today, by the way. I looked around and there’s no civil war happening.
She went on, ‘So I think America has come to understand his true essence and he doesn’t have quite the following that he used to and people have woken up to the illusion of Donald Trump. Because that’s what it was—an illusion created by Mark Burnett on The Celebrity Apprentice that he was somehow some sort of successful businessman, which he never was.
‘He got all his money from his dad, who was a slumlord, and his company was mostly logo-slapping, not building,’ O’Donnell said.”
What we perhaps notice first about O’Donnell’s comments is her total dismissal of not only Trump’s success but of truly successful Americans in general. The money Donald Trump got “from his dad” was an investment. And while many mocked Trump for describing his father’s initial capital outlay as “small,” that is indeed what the seven-figure gamble by the elder Trump was.
President Trump took that investment and increased it by orders of magnitude which made him the billionaire he is today. Trump’s is a true American success story and one of which we all should be proud. He worked hard, got himself an outstanding education, ran his businesses wisely, and succeeded beyond our wildest dreams. He didn’t make his money pretending to be someone else on a studio set or telling obnoxious jokes at a comedy club. He worked his ass off and it reaped the rewards. Good for him.
But most noteworthy of O’Donnell’s remarks is her attitude toward “Civil War.” Do you see how this works? She states, “there’s no civil war happening.” Rosie’s detachment from reality is breathtaking. The number of Americans who believe our best days are behind is at record levels. The chasm between left and right in our country is unlike anything we’ve seen in our lifetimes. Our society is on the brink of eruption, but as far as Rosie is concerned, everything is peachy. It’s all hunky dory, don’t you know.

“*” indicates required fields

The outrage by tens of millions of Americans in the aftermath of the August 8th assault on democracy known as the ‘Mar-a-Lago Raid’ has left our fragile political stability teetering. But as far as O’Donnell and her Hollywood cronies are concerned, since Trump supporters didn’t launch a true insurrection, since we haven’t launched an actual civil war, that means all is well. This is how Hollywood thinks folks, and it’s also how the Democratic Party views the situation. And it’s disturbing. Are Rosie O’Donnell and the rest of America’s left demanding actual violence before they’ll recognize reality and acknowledge our legitimate concerns? It sure seems that way.

Make America Florida: Ron DeSantis Crushing Joe Biden Across The Board

There are scores of variables that can impact the outcome of an election, and some are more critical than others. Who has the greatest number of lawn signs in a community? Whose spouse is more likable? Is the candidate a military veteran? Where do the candidates stand on hot-button social issues? And depending on the voter, any of these issues can play a huge role in determining how one votes.
But there is one item that will trump all others when crunch time arrives, particularly when it comes to the coveted ‘independent voter.’ While huge swaths of the electorate will vote strictly along party lines even if the candidate of their party is an eggplant, there are a substantial number of voters who actually vary their votes. And those voters will overwhelmingly prioritize a single aspect of a candidate’s qualifications: his or her performance.
Eleven weeks from today will be the midterm elections, which promise to be the most consequential in a generation. This means eleven weeks from tomorrow, as pundits on cable news networks and talk radio weigh in on their post-election analysis, the attention of political strategists will have already begun to look forward two years to the 2024 election, with particular attention being paid to the presidential election. And there is one potential candidate who continues to receive good news regarding his actual results: Republican Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
According to Governor DeSantis’ office:
“Florida’s unemployment rate dropped to a historic 2.7 percent in July as the state’s job creation skyrocketed. Florida’s July 2022 unemployment rate is the lowest since February 2020 and this level has only been reached three times since Florida began recording unemployment data in 1976. Florida’s private sector employment grew by an outstanding 70,000 in July 2022, doubling the nation’s job growth rate over the same period.”
To a large extent, the individual economy within a state is driven by the overall economic results in the country. For instance, if the entire nation were to sink into a depression, it’s highly unlikely that a singular state would be able to keep its head above water and continue with an economic boom. Conversely, if the country experiences an economic resurgence, most states will follow suit at some level, regardless of state and local factors.
But there are indeed certain influences within a state that can set it apart from the overall economic goings-on in the rest of the country. Taxation on corporations and small businesses, for instance, can either attract or repel investors. The same can be said for the presence or absence of specific regulatory practices.
While the Biden Administration continues to whistle past the graveyard and insist that everything in the American economy is hunky dory, those of us out here in reality know better. More than any other statistic, Team Brandon will point to their jobs numbers as they gaslight us about wonderful economic conditions. But those unemployment numbers they tout are fraught with underlying signs of doom, and the rest of us know it.

“*” indicates required fields

We see the actual impact of inflation on our bank accounts. We can sense the dour mood in the county as we talk with friends and neighbors. We understand that real wages, thanks to inflation, are plummeting, not increasing. So, when a state like Florida, under the exceptional leadership of Governor DeSantis, achieves real prosperity instead of the imaginary variety, Americans take notice.
Who will be the presidential nominee for the Democratic Party in two years? It’s difficult to say right now, but Mr. Biden must be considered the frontrunner, and even if he’s not, the ultimate Democratic nominee will have no choice but to own Biden’s results. Biden, after all, didn’t achieve this mess we are in all on his own. He had plenty of help from Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, and the rest of the Democrats.

Who will be the presidential nominee for the Republican Party in two years? Again, that answer is still very much up in the air, and Donald Trump must be considered the most likely candidate at this point. But number two on that list is undoubtedly Ron DeSantis. And if Governor DeSantis does indeed find himself running for the highest office in the land, he will have something to hold up for all voters to consider that no Democrat will: exceptional economic results.

Taunting Tater: Fired CNN Host Brian Stelter Gets Hilarious Sendoffs

When it comes to examples of leftwing bias in the mainstream media, there is perhaps no better example than former CNN host Brian Stelter.
Most of the clowns on MSNBC don’t pretend to be neutral and will come right out and admit their leftism. The broadcast networks’ talking heads are much more subtle and have therefore become adept at hiding their affiliations with the Democratic Party. And, of course, outlets such as the New York Times and Washington Post have scores of ‘journalists’ who would give Stelter a run for their far-left money, but we’re not forced to see their big heads on TV screens when walking through an airport.
Indeed, when evaluating which mainstream media personality best exemplifies leftwing, on-air activism, the only one besides Stelter who is even in the conversation is Stelter’s former CNN colleague Don Lemon. So, when CNN finally decided to pull the trigger and send the ratings-depleted and credibility-challenged Stelter packing, it was only a matter of time before the right-wing trolls came howling for Stelter. And come they did.
Fox News host Greg Gutfeld, who is dominating the ratings for late-night TV, gave us this gem:

Yo @brianstelter – my show is hiring.
— GregGutfeld (@greggutfeld) August 18, 2022

Considering Gutfeld has more viewers on a bad night than Stelter ever had, that one had to particularly hurt.
Not to be outdone, the Babylon Bee, from who we’ve come to expect excellence in rightwing satirical trolling, did not disappoint. Their initial statement was vintage Bee, when CEO Seth Dillion explained:

“*” indicates required fields

Hey @brianstelter, would you be interested in working for the Bee? We’re looking for talent with experience putting out funny fake news. You come highly recommended. Shoot me a DM if you’re interested!
— Seth Dillon (@SethDillon) August 18, 2022

But this headline and ‘story’ was the coup de grace: “Stelter Forced Out At CNN After Being Accused Of Sexual Harassment By Mrs. Potato Head.” Bravo, Babylon Bee.

Other notable and clever tweets included the following:

Breaking …
Local doughnut shop near CNN headquarters to lay off 5 employees due to the Brian Stelter firing.
