[LANGUAGE WARNING]
With President Joe Biden’s imminent departure and Donald Trump’s return to the White House the leftist media have spent the last month making last gasp defenses of Biden’s “mental acuity” while trashing Trump cabinet nominations (like Pete Hegseth) as a “throwback” to the “11th century.”
MSNBC host Symone Sanders laughably asserted that Biden’s “mental acuity is there.” Her MSNBC colleagues Joe Scarborough and Elise Jordan claimed Defense Secretary nominee Hegseth’s views were from the time of “the Crusades.”
Speaking of Scarborough, he used the occasion of President Jimmy Carter’s passing to spin history as he gave Carter credit (and not Ronald Reagan) for ending the USSR’s evil empire.
Then there was the hate-filled hyperbole from Sunny Hostin as The View co-host actually compared the January 6 riots to “slavery” and the “Holocaust.”
The following are the most obnoxious outbursts from the leftist media over the last month:
Biden’s “Mental Acuity,” Is Fine, It’s Trump’s That We Should Be “Concerned” About
“The question on the table is, ‘Is the president all the way there?’ And the answer is unequivocally yes. Now, people can say that you feel as though President Biden might be a little too old to do the job, but he is doing the job. And his mental acuity is there….He can at least put a sentence together. The president-elect is the one I am concerned about.”
— MSNBC host Symone Sanders-Townsend on NBC’s Meet the Press, January 5.
Trump’s Defense Secretary Nominee is “Throwback” to the “11th Century”
MSNBC political analyst Elise Jordan: “There’s nothing that he can do to unsay what he has said. 16 percent of the US military: women. I have embedded with female Marines in Helmand [province in Afghanistan] who have been under fire. Women in combat, they handle it just fine. They handle it just as fine as the men. The fact that we want this retrograde throwback?”…
Co-host Joe Scarborough: “To the 11th century.”
Jordan: “The Crusades. The Crusades!”
Scarborough: “It used to be like, oh, they want to go back to the 1950s. He wants to go back to the 11th century.”
— MSNBC’s Morning Joe, December 16.
MSNBCer Rants “Arc of Justice Has Been Crushed” By Trump and Supreme Court
“I am angry, and if anyone’s watching this right now is angry, you’re allowed to be angry, but you’re not angry at Judge Merchan. Be angry appropriately and lay the blame at the feet of Donald Trump, the Supreme Court of the United States, because the arc of justice has been crushed and flattened by the weight of the Oval Office, not because of the dignity or integrity of that office, but the deceit by which Donald Trump made it back into that Oval Office. And this is why people, angry by this outcome, should say, ‘There is no true justice anymore,’ because you and I both know that if this was someone else, Joy, this outcome would have been different.”
— MSNBC host and legal analyst Katie Phang on MSNBC’s The ReidOut, January 3.
Facebook to Stop Censoring Conservatives? Watch Out Women, Immigrants and Gays!
“It’s going to be worse for all the people it’s already bad for: women, minorities, immigrants, gay people, trans people, all the people who are already attacked online. Mark Zuckerberg and Joel Kaplan are now saying, ‘We’ve gone too far protecting you.’ Sometimes conservatives say they are censored, which is not true, according to the data and research. That is not actually happening. But they feel that it is, and their feelings are more important than your truth, so we are going to roll back the things that we have instituted to try to keep those users safe. We don’t care about those people.”
— NBC senior reporter Brandy Zadrozny on MSNBC’s The 11th Hour with Stephanie Ruhle, January 8.
Exploiting the L.A. Fires to Attack Trump
“In about 13 days, the federal response will pass to the hands of someone very different, somebody who is banging on about why weren’t leaves being raked and about water not dripping right out of the faucets, and who’s already — you know — blamed — you know — Democrats, blamed President Biden. I’m sure he’s blaming you since he’s got a special thing for you, rather than being an adult. He’ll be in charge of the federal response. What kind of help can California expect to get from someone like him?”
— Host Joy Reid to Democratic Senator Adam Schiff on MSNBC’s The ReidOut, January 8.
Revising History: Actually It Was Jimmy Carter Who Ended the USSR, Not Reagan!
“When the Soviet Union fell, the Russians, they did not go, ‘Reagan brought down the wall.’ They blamed two people: Jimmy Carter and, and, and the guy who was her [points at Mika Brzezinski] dad. But they knew it was Carter, and it was human rights.”
— Co-host Joe Scarborough on MSNBC’s Morning Joe, January 10.
Wrong About Jimmy Carter From an Early Age
“I was a little kid when Jimmy Carter was in the White House, and I actually wrote him a letter during the Iranian hostage crisis, because I couldn’t understand why everyone was so mean to the president….In looking at his life, he spent, if my math is right, 10 times longer out of the White House than he did inside. And I remember, as a kid, I knew people were yelling at him. People didn’t like him. People hated him when he was in the White House. And yet, 40 years after the fact, the glow around him, because of all the work he did in the post-presidency, is something to see.”
— Washington Post Associate Editor/PBS contributor Jonathan Capehart on PBS’s NewsHour, January 3.
Post-ISIS Attack on New Orleans: “Young White Men” Are The Problem
“All different kinds of people will commit crimes. The problem here [New Orleans terrorist attack] is that you jump on one sort of crime, one crime committed by one name that sounds exotic, one brown face, rather than looking at all of the domestic terror that we face, including what the FBI says is a really big problem, which is young white men in America.”
— New York Times columnist Charles Blow on MSNBC’s The ReidOut, January 2.
Mocking MAGA Voters: “You’re So Fucking Stupid!”
“Just as if you try to get rid of the migrants and some of the folks who come here, quite honestly illegally, then you can’t — then folks, in the farming industry, in the service industries and in any other industries they won’t be able to do their jobs. Some farmers say without these workers they have about two days that they can run their farms and then after that it’s over! Oh my gosh, I love this! Now you’re finding out, you dumb fucking idiots! Now you’re just figuring this shit out! You’re so fucking stupid, and you deserve it! You fucking deserve it because you’re so dumb….Yes. I am gloating over your stupidity and how you were taken.….You have been co-opted because you’re in a fucking cult and you don’t even realize it because you have stupid MAGA brain, and you don’t get it. How stupid and dumb are you?”
— Former CNN host Don Lemon on his YouTube channel, December 30.
Scarborough Condescends: How Come Ohioans Keep Voting for the Interests of Billionaires?
“How can it be that in Youngstown, Ohio, the average salary last year was $34,000 a year for a family, for a household? Household average salary last year, $34,000. And yet a government of the billionaires, for the billionaires, by the billionaires, won Ohio overwhelmingly. How does that happen? How do Democrats miss that layup? Why have they continued to miss that layup for years? Average household, $34,000? Yeah. Voting for the government of the billionaires, for the billionaires, by the billionaires, over and over again. How could it be that Ohio is gone?”
— Co-host Joe Scarborough on MSNBC’s Morning Joe, December 17.
You Know Who Else Won Time’s Man of the Year? Stalin and Hitler!
“As Time magazine describes it, ‘For 97 years the editors of Time have been picking the person of the year. The individual who, for better or for worse, did the most to shape the world and the headlines over the past 12 months. In many years, that choice is a difficult one. In 2024, it was not.’ The key line ‘for better or for worse’ is not much of a ringing endorsement, and we all know which one Trump falls under, and let’s remember who else has been given this title in years past in the same category: Adolf Hitler, Joseph Stalin, Ayatollah Khomeini, and Vladimir Putin. In fact, Stalin won the distinction twice, just like Trump.”
— Host Joy Reid on MSNBC’s The ReidOut, December 12.
January 6th Riots as Bad as the Holocaust and Slavery
“You had Condoleezza Rice, I believe, on this very show saying, you know, ‘We need to move on from January 6th.’ I say no! You don’t move on because January 6th was an atrocity. Was one of the worst moments in American history, and when you think about the worst moments in American history, you know, like World War II, things that happened, you know, like holocaust, chattel slavery. We need to never forget because past becomes prologue if you forget and erase.”
— Co-host Sunny Hostin on ABC’s The View, January 6.
If Anything, AOC Isn’t Left Enough
“The other thing that I will say is about AOC, she has been demonized by the right, and she’s been demonized as this, like, too progressive far left person, and I want to set — try to set the record straight ‘cause if she is too progressive, then the Democrats really are going to lose the working class, because this is her platform: The key issues, healthcare for all people, affordable housing, rebuild the unions, federal job guarantee, free public college, create clean energy jobs, pay parental leave and expand protections for the LGBTQ+ community. If that is too progressive for this country, then that’s a problem for the Democrats, and that’s a problem, quite frankly for this country.”
— Co-host Sunny Hostin on ABC’s The View, December 18.
Democrats Lost Because Americans “Hate Black Women”
Host Bill Maher: “I warned everybody about Trump and then I warned them, then I warned them about what would get him re-elected, which was stupid wokeness, which is what got him re-elected….Like that kind of stuff is what lost the election for the Democrats.”…
Actor Jon Cryer: “Well I think it’s inflation. I think Americans hate inflation. They hate inflation, they hate riots. And they hate black women. And they hate trans people….They just spent hundreds of millions of dollars demonizing trans people and that is disgusting.”
— Club Random with Bill Maher podcast, January 5.
