This is getting to be a tsunami of DEI defections, and how delicious!
Just this afternoon, another big name in the wokest game on Earth decided they were cashing in their chips before public opinion – and an incoming Trump administration – cashed them in for them.

An Amazon email last month announced to employees that the company was scaling back and consolidating some of its DEI programs – trimming around the edges on some of those ‘initiatives’ – although which ones were on the chopping block were spelled out.
Amazon said it is halting some of its diversity and inclusion initiatives, joining a growing list of major corporations that have made similar moves in the face of increasing public and legal scrutiny.
In a Dec. 16 internal note to staffers that was obtained by CNBC, Candi Castleberry, Amazon’s VP of inclusive experiences and technology, said the company was in the process of “winding down outdated programs and materials” as part of a broader review of hundreds of initiatives.
“Rather than have individual groups build programs, we are focusing on programs with proven outcomes — and we also aim to foster a more truly inclusive culture,” Castleberry wrote in the note, which was first reported by Bloomberg.
Castleberry’s memo doesn’t say which programs the company is dropping as a result of its review. The company typically releases annual data on the racial and gender makeup of its workforce, and it also operates Black, LGBTQ+, indigenous and veteran employee resource groups, among others.
In 2020, Amazon set a goal of doubling the number of Black employees in vice president and director roles. It announced the same goal in 2021 and also pledged to hire 30% more Black employees for product manager, engineer and other corporate roles.
People were pretty giggly when they heard that news.

But it turns out that Amazon has already been busy with an eraser on their various DEI-related resources webpages.
Some have simply gone POOF!
Tech Turns the Page: Amazon Downplays DEI, Meta Plays Up Free Speech as Tech Tilts Right
Amazon scrubbed a reference to benefits for transgender staff from its corporate site, as more tech companies adapt to a new political climate.

An Amazon spokesperson told Fox News that specific DEI-related pages disappearing as the memo was made public was purely coincidental – page updates happen all the time, doncha know.
New: Years ago, Amazon began touting its support for trans people and DEI policies intended to increase the number of black people and women in senior roles.
Since Trump won, Amazon pages about these efforts have undergone curious makeovers—or have been deleted altogether. 🧵 pic.twitter.com/aEMX6iFfoZ

Regular maintenance, yo.
IF YOU BELIEVE THAT, YOU’LL BUY THIS WATCH
…The release of the memo, first reported by Bloomberg on Friday, followed a report from earlier in the day from The Information, showing that Amazon had also recently scrubbed sections entitled Equity for Black people and LGBTQ+ rights from its “Our Positions” page on its website.
In response, Amazon spokesperson Kelly Nantel said in a statement, “We update this page from time to time to ensure that it reflects updates we’ve made to various programs and positions.”

Interestingly, it seems ardent anti-DEI warrior Robby Starbuck, who’s been so successful getting woke companies to crawl back out of the ether, had turned his attention to Amazon early last month. He put the company on notice that he would be looking for an attitude adjustment.
BIG News: On Dec. 4th I notified Amazon that they’d be an upcoming focus for us in 2025 as part of our project to expose woke companies.
Today they’re announcing a halt to some DEI policies and they’ve removed language about DEI goals and transgenderism from their site.

…Today they’re announcing a halt to some DEI policies and they’ve removed language about DEI goals and transgenderism from their site.
Amazon has NOT however listed what those changes are going to be and they have NOT communicated those changes to me.
If they do not specifically state what these changes are, I’ll proceed with our report later this month exposing their woke policies, practices and failures because the public deserves to know if these policies still reflect Amazon’s views. If they don’t, then Amazon should say so.
For clarity, I’ve only shown part of my correspondence below to verify what I’m saying.
I really don’t think it’s going to be a shocking revelation that Amazon is totally bats**t woke. What would be fun is to see just how far down in the Orc cave they are.
According to an memo obtained by Axios, Amazon joins Zuckerberg’s continuing transformation into a semi-rational lizard man and his companies into near-normal businesses.

…On Friday, Meta – the parent company of Facebook, Instagram and Threads – said it will no longer take the controversial Diversity, Equity and Inclusion policies into consideration before hiring, training and picking suppliers, Axios reported.
According to a memo sent by Janelle Gale, vice president of human resources, she said the company is pivoting away from DEI because the “legal and policy landscape surrounding diversity, equity and inclusion efforts in the United States is changing.”
A Meta spokesperson reached by The Post confirmed the memo, which was first obtained by Axios.
Meta’s about-face came just days after CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced that his company would scrap censoring free speech on its popular social media platforms.
Both Zuckerberg and Amazon founder Jeff Bezos have recently met with Trump as part of an ongoing thaw in once-frosty relations between the Republican and the tech industry.
The times, they are a changin’, says they Meta lady.
The Trump effect is for reals.
