Bryan Johnson is a tech mogul, anti-aging enthusiast, and part-time vampire.

We’re not kidding about the vampire thing. He actually siphens off his own son’s blood to stay younger. We covered the story here:

Now in an interview with journalist Bari Weiss, Bryan Johnson had these dystopian words to say about artificial intelligence:

I think the irony is that we told stories of God creating us, and I think the reality is that we are creating God. We are creating God in the form of superintelligence. If you just say: ‘What have we imagined God to be? What are its characteristics?’ We are building God in the form of technology.

So I think the irony is that the human storytelling got it exactly in reverse, that we are the creators of God, and that we will create God in our own image, which is probably why we should be equal to this moment and level up our game, and be an improved species.

Maybe it’s just us, but this reminds us of something:

Babylon Bee Editor Joel Berry had this reaction:

Internet commenters also gave their two cents:

We’re also reminded of this passage from Romans 1:

For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like a mortal human being and birds and animals and reptiles.

Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator — who is forever praised. Amen.

There’s nothing more pathetic than a creature created by God pretending to be higher than God.
