Former talk show host Ellen DeGeneres has just been hit by more bullying allegations, despite the fact that her show has been over for some time now.

This time, however, DeGeneres is defiantly refusing to apologize after she fled Hollywood and moved across the world to the United Kingdom.

DeGeneres Hit With New Claims

The former The Bachelorette star Ali Fedotowsky recently spoke out to claim that DeGeneres made her “feel stupid” when she appeared on the comedian’s eponymous talk show back in 2010. Years later, DeGeneres would be hit with tons of claims that she was unfriendly to others as her toxic workplace scandal exploded.

The allegations of DeGeneres’ rude behavior were particularly damning for her. Indeed, she ended every episode of her talk show by telling her viewers to “be kind to one another” – which made the revelations that much more poignant.

DeGeneres’ career infamously nosedived after her toxic workplace scandal. The final episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show aired in 2022. Two months ago, it was revealed that DeGeneres had fled Hollywood to move to the U.K. with her wife, the former Arrested Development star Portia de Rossi.

DeGeneres Fires Back

Despite the latest allegations of “mean” behavior on her part, sources close to DeGeneres say that she has no plans to apologize to Fedotowsky.

“Ellen has decided to not put much care toward Ali’s words because she feels like she has been cancelled already and someone else piling on and saying she wasn’t nice isn’t going to make any difference,” an insider told Daily Mail.

This source went on to talk about the reasons why DeGeneres feels that the public has turned on her.

“People hate Ellen because of her sexual orientation, people hate Ellen because of the attitude she showed towards her staff,” the insider continued. “She’s out of Hollywood, she’s away from her show, she’s living with the person she loves, and Ellen is not going to stress about it anymore or shed any tears about it.”

These days, DeGeneres is living life unapologetically.

“Ellen is who Ellen is, she said what she needed to say, and she isn’t going to change, so if you don’t like her, think she treated you wrong, too bad,” the source added. “She’s not going to apologize even if she is in the wrong. She’s had enough.”

“She moved away because of all of the fallout from everything,” the insider concluded. “She’s not going to embrace any more drama into the new year.”

Fedotowsky Discusses Experience With DeGeneres

This came after Fedotowsky opened up about her experience with DeGeneres. She did so while being interviewed by Kaitlyn Bristowe on her “Off The Vine” podcast. Fedotowsky claimed that while appearing on her talk show, DeGeneres “made me feel pretty not great.”

“I hate that. I’ve heard that so many times,” Bristowe said in response.

“I don’t think she’s a bad person, I just think that sometimes when you do a job like that all day every single day for years, you’re just kind of over it,” Fedotowsky continued. “One, she’s talking to people who are crafted.”

“Here I am, this 24-year-old, famous for no reason, [I come] on her show, she’s probably like, ‘I’ve got to talk to one of these idiots again,’” she recalled. “I went on the show and I was dancing, you know how everyone comes out dancing? I was trying to be funny and personable.”

“Instead of laughing with me, she was laughing at me,” Fedotowsky lamented. “You know what I mean? So, I felt really stupid.”

During her toxic workplace scandal, DeGeneres was accused of presiding over a set that was rife with racism, sexism, and bullying. It was claimed that DeGeneres herself had banned her own staffers from looking her in the eye on the set of the talk show.

DeGeneres Found It ‘Hurtful’ That Celebrities Turned On Her

DeGeneres was initially apologetic after the scandal broke. Now, however, it’s clear that she’s done apologizing.

“Make no mistake about it. This is Ellen and Portia’s retirement,” another source close to DeGeneres said after her U.K. move was announced. “Neither one of them have any projects lined up.”

“Ellen really felt she had made her mark on the industry, but that was diminished when she was cancelled over her alleged treatment of her staff,” this insider continued. “Then to have celebrities call her out one by one was so hurtful.”

Many celebrities pledge to leave Hollywood, then never follow through. It seems like unlike them, however, DeGeneres might really be done with Hollywood forever. Only time will tell if DeGeneres ever rethinks that and decides that it’s time to start apologizing again.
