Is Joe making the transition tough for Team Trump?

In a statement posted to TRUTH Social on Monday, President-elect Donald Trump blasted outgoing President Joe Biden for making the transition of power “as difficult as possible.”

Trump cited the ongoing lawfare in his New York City “hush-money” case and Biden’s 11th-hour executive order banning offshore drilling as reasons for a turbulent transition.

From Trump’s TRUTH Social:

Biden is doing everything possible to make the TRANSITION as difficult as as possible, from Lawfare such as has never been seen before, to costly and ridiculous Executive Orders on the Green New Scam and other money wasting Hoaxes. Fear not, these “Orders” will all be terminated shortly, and we will become a Nation of Common Sense and Strength. MAGA!!!

Earlier Monday, Biden announced bans on new drilling and further oil and natural gas development on more than 625 million acres of U.S. coastal and offshore waters — bans Trump said he would reverse immediately upon taking office.

“I see it just came over that Biden has banned all oil and gas drilling across 625 million acres of U.S. coastal territory. It’s ridiculous. I’ll unban it immediately,” Trump told radio host Huge Hewitt.

“What’s he doing? Why is he doing it? We have something that nobody else has — nobody has to the extent we have it — we have oil and gas,” Trump said.

“We have oil and gas to the level that nobody else has and we’re going to take advantage of that … he doesn’t even know what 625 million acres looks like.”

Biden also penned an op-ed in The Washington Post on Monday entitled What Americans should remember about Jan. 6.

“But we should not forget,” Biden wrote in the op-ed. “We must remember the wisdom of the adage that any nation that forgets its past is doomed to repeat it. We cannot accept a repeat of what occurred four years ago.”

“An unrelenting effort has been underway to rewrite — even erase — the history of that day. To tell us we didn’t see what we all saw with our own eyes. To dismiss concerns about it as some kind of partisan obsession. To explain it away as a protest that just got out of hand.”
