Crazy scene out of Istanbul, Turkey, yesterday, as a cargo ship tipped over in Ambarli Port in the Beylikduzu District around 4 a.m.

The cargo ship was reportedly loaded with an imbalance of cargo, and here were the result:

15 crew members were aboard, 10 of whom were rescued by emergency crews. The other five jumped ship and swam ashore, one of them needing minor medical attention.

As you can see, dozens of containers were dumped into the sea, and the port authority placed barriers around the dry cargo to avoid further sea pollution.

This is the second recent instance of a capsized cargo ship in Turkey. About a month ago, another cargo ship capsized in Mersin.
