Disgraced former congresswoman Liz Cheney reacted angrily after House GOP lawmakers called for her to be criminally investigated for witness tampering when she headed up the now defunct sham J6 committee.
In its just-released bombshell report, the Committee on House Administration’s Subcommittee on Oversight alleged that Cheney “tampered with at least one witness, Cassidy Hutchinson,” the former aide to ex-White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows whose lurid testimony about the actions of then-President Donald J. Trump has since been debunked.
“Based on the evidence obtained by this Subcommittee, numerous federal laws were likely broken by Liz Cheney, the former Vice Chair of the January 6 Select Committee, and these violations should be investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation,” the report recommended, eliciting a fiery response from the malicious actor.

“January 6th showed Donald Trump for who is really is – a cruel and vindictive man who allowed violent attacks to continue against our Capitol and law enforcement officers while he watched television and refused for hours to instruct his supporters to stand down and leave,” the accused witness tamperer wrote in a statement posted to Bluesky, the social media platform that’s a refuge for anti-free speech leftists who are fleeing from X after the election.
“The January 6th Committee’s hearings and report featured scores of Republican witnesses, including many of the most senior officials from Trump’s own White House, campaign, and Administration,” she added, defending the Soviet-style committee. “All of this testimony was painstakingly set out in thousands of pages of transcripts, made public along with a highly detailed and meticulously sourced 800-page report.”
“Chairman Loudermilk’s ‘Interim Report’ intentionally disregards the truth and the Select Committee’s tremendous weight of evidence and instead fabricates lies and defamatory allegations in an attempt to cover up what Donald Trump did. Their allegations do not reflect a review of the actual evidence and are a malicious and cowardly assault on the truth” Cheney wrote. “No reputable lawyer, legislator, or judge would take this seriously.”
“Evidence uncovered by the Subcommittee revealed that former Congresswoman Liz Cheney tampered with at least one witness, Cassidy Hutchinson, by secretly communicating with Hutchinson without Hutchinson’s attorney’s knowledge,” the congressional report stated. “This secret communication with a witness is improper and likely violates 18 U.S.C. 1512. Such action is outside the due functioning of the legislative process and therefore not protected by the Speech and Debate clause.”
Cheney’s “star witness” electrified the media with her lurid tale that then-President Donald J. Trump nearly choked a Secret Service agent while trying to grab the wheel of “The Beast” the armored presidential limo.

She also claimed that an angry Trump threw his lunch, leaving ketchup stains on the wall, a detail that the media ate up.
“There was ketchup dripping down the wall.” Cassidy Hutchinson says then-President Donald Trump threw his lunch against a wall when he learned of an @AP article in which then-Attorney General William Barr said the DOJ had not found evidence of voter fraud. https://t.co/0WDFU8fj8E pic.twitter.com/A7LiiB8NAL

Both would seem to have been coached stories designed for maximum media appeal at a time when the committee was conducting its nationally televised hearings, which bombed with the American public.
“Now, maybe there’s some other reason Cheney was messaging with Hutchinson via the encrypted Signal app before the former Trump White House aide testified,” the New York Post Editorial Board wrote. “And maybe there are reasons Hutchinson’s testimony conflicted with other witnesses’ — particularly her gossip about Trump supposedly lunging for the wheel of a car after Secret Service agents refused to drive his motorcade to the Capitol on the fateful day.”
“But secret communications with a witness are far outside the rules for any investigator, including members of Congress,” the paper noted, emphasizing that Cheney’s communications with Hutchinson “ABSOLUTELY merit investigation.”
Dick Cheney’s scheming daughter along with the rest of the J6 committee malefactors are fearful that the jig could be up now that the Justice Department will soon be back in the business of enforcing the law but could be saved if they are given “preemptive” pardons by outgoing President Joe Biden as many are now speculating.
Trump has suggested that she and the rest of the J6 crew belong behind bars which is where they may end up if Biden doesn’t intervene to obstruct justice.
