With the days remaining in Joe Biden’s disastrous presidency dwindling fast, the left is doing everything they can to further entrench their people and policies into the federal government before Donald Trump, Elon Musk, and Vivek Ramaswamy storm the beaches of Washington, D.C.

RedState reported just last week on how outgoing FBI Director Christopher Wray is apparently promoting his loyalists into senior positions in order to delay his presumptive replacement, Kash Patel, from following through on his promise to gut the agency.

Reports are emerging that although Wray may be leaving his post of his own accord, he does not plan to go quietly. In true deep state fashion, Wray is busy promoting loyalists at the FBI in order to “burrow” them into the agency’s establishment. The goal? To disrupt Kash Patel’s plans to seriously reorganize the federal government’s chief law enforcement agency.

And then there’s the nutty attempt by Sen. Kristen Gillibrand (D-NY) to have Biden enact the Equal Rights Amendment before leaving office.

Gillibrand was but one of several leftists to take to the opinion pages of The New York Times on Sunday to implore President Biden to enact all sorts of policies that would, presumably, keep the left warm during the long, dark political winter that is looming for them. The collective essay is called “How Biden Should Spend His Final Weeks in Office,” and it’s an informative look at the fantastical, anti-Trump ideas consuming Democrats and their “thought leaders” at this time in history.

Take, for instance, the appeal from Andrea Flores, vice president of the progressive organization FWD.us, to have Biden take action to prevent Trump from deporting illegals. Per Flores, Biden “has a moral obligation to mitigate the catastrophic threats to immigrants posed by Mr. Trump. He can do this by taking bold protective measures using his executive power.”

Then there’s liberal author Ryann Liebenthal, who’d really like Joe Biden to forgive student loan debt.

So now is the time for Mr. Biden to take decisive action. He should issue an order canceling the student debt for struggling seniors — some 3.5 million Americans age 60 or older are still paying off student loans — and for borrowers in default and anyone swindled by for-profit schools.

Lest you think that Ms. Liebenthal has the best interests of those with student loans at heart, she couldn’t help but reveal her true motivation, which is to “Let Americans see that Mr. Biden tried to make the lives of these debtors better and his successor chose to make them worse.”

And, of course, there’s abortion. Ironically, the left lives for abortion. A trio of radically-left law professors, David S. Cohen, Greer Donley, and Rachel Rebouché, make the argument that Biden must act now to protect “reproductive rights” and seem to be running scared that the new Trump administration will apply the brakes to unfettered access to abortion, particularly when it comes to accessing abortion pills via mail.

Now his administration must finalize proposed rules to expand access to birth control. And his administration should complete any outstanding investigations into hospitals for failing to provide emergency abortions and make the results public when possible.

They really don’t have much to lose at this point (do they?) since Biden already scraped the bottom of the barrel by pardoning his son and 1,500 other criminal miscreants. When you factor in their unrepentant joy at the killing of the United HealthCare CEO, you can only conclude that the left and their stooge, Joe Biden, might actually take action on these ill-advised policy moves.

The bottom line is that the Deep State is alive and well and, despite its clear repudiation at the ballot box, fully intends to do as much as it can to stack the decks against Donald Trump before he takes office next month.
