Just when you thought Sen. John Fetterman couldn’t get any more based, he joins Truth Social and drops some nuclear hot takes.

Fetterman has been on a conservative kick lately, bucking the status quo of the Democrat Party to breathe some common sense into the modern political discourse. This has made him less popular on the left, but the right has embraced his takes with open arms. Perhaps it is because of this that the Pennsylvania senator finally set up a Truth Social account and made his first post about President-elect Donald Trump’s hush money case and why a pardon is appropriate.

Look:

“My first truth. The Trump hush money and Hunter Biden cases were both bullshit, and pardons are appropriate,” he wrote. “Weaponizing the judiciary for blatant, partisan gain diminishes the collective faith in our institutions and sows further division.”

He also echoed the same sentiments during a visit to ‘The View’ in early December, justifying calls to pardon Trump by pointing to President Joe Biden’s unexpected pardon of his son.

“I think that it’s undeniable that the case against Hunter Biden was really politically motivated, but I also think it’s true that the trial in New York for Trump was political as well, too,” he explained. “In both cases, I think a pardon is appropriate and I really think, collectively, that America’s confidence in these types of institutions have been damaged by these kinds of cases, and we cannot allow these types of institutions to be weaponized against our political opponents.”

Social media users were pleasantly surprised by Fetterman’s choice to join Truth Social, while others remained skeptical:
