Florida Governor Ron DeSantis may not be a teacher, but his recent schooling of Democrat Senator Amy Klobuchar was legendary.

As the left fusses over President-elect Donald Trump’s nominations, much has been made about his desire to replace FBI Director Christopher Wray. Supporters of Trump have endorsed the move, saying that the agency needs a major overhaul. Meanwhile, Democrats believe Wray should be able to serve out the rest of his “term” before Trump picks a replacement.

Klobuchar recently made a brief post on X sharing her take.

“FBI Director Wray should serve out his ten-year term. He was originally appointed for ten years by President-elect Trump!” she wrote.

At first glance, this may indicate that the appointed FBI director is expected to serve for 10 years before being shown the door, but according to DeSantis that is not the case.

“The FBI Director does not have a ’10 year term,’ but a 10 year limit. The Director serves at the pleasure of the President and can be removed for any reason or no reason at all. President Trump has the right — and, given the performance of the agency, a duty — to replace Director Wray immediately upon taking office,” he said.
