More than 100 Navy SEALs are reportedly planning a show of support for embattled former Fox News host Pete Hegseth.

The decorated Army combat veteran was nominated by President-elect Donald Trump to lead the Pentagon in his new administration and has faced an onslaught of negative attacks. Outdated sexual misconduct allegations and even claims that he drank on the job have dogged the former “Fox & Friends Weekend” co-host who has also seen a wave of support backing him.

Now, combat veteran Bill Brown is mobilizing Navy SEALs to march on Washington, D.C. in support of Trump’s pick for Secretary of Defense. Brown, founder of the New York City SEAL Swim across the Hudson River, is reportedly planning the event to coincide with Hegseth’s Senate confirmation hearing next month, Breitbart News reported.

“Pete Hegseth has been a monumental part of promoting that Navy SEALs Swim. He swam across the Hudson River a number of years in a row,” the host of The Alec Lace Show told the outlet. “And so he’s been a big advocate for the Navy SEALs and now that he needs help, the Navy SEALs, Bill Brown has turned around and they are going to be helping Pete Hegseth in any way that they can.”

Gold Star parents and members of the New York Fire Department will reportedly be joining veterans from the Army, Navy, and Marine Corps to support Hegseth.

“The military is for three things – defend the homeland, project strength as a deterrent to enemies, fight our nation’s wars. @PeteHegseth
understands this. It is not a social experiment,” retired U.S. Navy SEAL Jason Redman said in a video post on X. “But the people who want to weaken it and use it as one, are doing everything in their power to prevent Pete from becoming the next Secretary of Defense.”

“Pete has been there for them and he’s a big advocate in the veteran community,” Lace said of the show of support from vets. “I’ll tell you just from being at these swims…the amount of respect and love that these guys have for Pete Hegseth is very apparent immediately when you get there.”

Navy SEALs and veterans signed a petition supporting Hegseth as well, touting his military record and service in Iraq and Afghanistan.

He “knows the love and sacrifice it takes to put oneself in harm’s way,” the petition reads in part, adding that he “has lived a life dedicated to looking out for the men and women in uniform.”

“They really feel passionate about this cause,” Lace told Breitbart. “They want to see changes in our military. They’ve seen it getting weakened with this woke ideology that has taken over and just made its way into the military at the highest levels. They’re sick and tired of it. These guys are warfighters.”

“They don’t want to see the way that our military has been degraded over the last few years with this last administration and they want something to be done about it. And so they’re making their voices heard loud and proud and, and they are 100 percent behind Hegseth,” he added. “I think you’re going to be surprised by the amount of people that actually show up there that are gonna be supporting Pete.”
