Over the last two decades, there have been a lot of slimeballs in the American political realm but few are more odious than John Bolton.

The walrus mustachioed neocon and former Trump administration national security adviser has been a regular presence in the media where he has been a regular source of sleazy innuendo, and he’s among those determined to impugn the character of Tulsi Gabbard.

Democrats and their fellow travelers have accused Gabbard of being a puppet of Russian leader Vladimir Putin and have zeroed in on a 2017 visit to Syria where she met with President Bashar al-Assad while a member of the U.S. Congress, seeking to sow suspicion and with Assad’s regime on the verge of being toppled, Bolton appeared on CNN to insinuate that there’s intrigue involving President-elect Donald J. Trump’s nominee to be the next Director of National Intelligence.

Bolton claimed that Assad may have files “about a number of Americans,” especially Gabbard who along with other Trump nominees including Pete Hegseth and Kash Patel are the focus of a vicious campaign of personal destruction to prevent them from taking office when the new president is sworn in on January 20, 2025.

“I think she’s totally unqualified to be DNI, and I think her positions put her beyond the outermost fringe of American politics,” he said.

“When she visited Assad in Syria, he was effectively a Russian Iranian ally. And what she said about Syria not being a direct threat to the United States, that was her justification for going is completely false. The Syrians and their combination with Iran and Hezbollah have posed direct threats to Americans across the region. They certainly pose a direct threat to key American allies, Israel and Jordan,” added Bolton, a psychotic warmonger.

“And it’s going to be very interesting to see what the files that may be uncovered in the Syrian government if the rebels succeed in capturing Damascus, what they show about a number of Americans,” he added.

So basically Bolton seems to be referring to whatever planted “evidence” alleging sinister intentions from Gabbard that will be leaked to the media now that the Assad government has fallen because you know it’s coming.

Last weekend, he smeared another one of Trump’s nominees, Kash Patel, by likening him to the notorious Soviet thug Lavrentiy Beria, the head of Stalin’s secret police whose motto was “show me the man and I’ll show you the crime.”

That a discredited knuckle-dragging imbecile like Bolton is regularly given air time despite his bloodthirsty lust for war and impressive record of failure is just an exclamation point on how thoroughly corrupt the media has become.
