President-elect Donald J. Trump’s resounding election win was at least in part a mandate to end the proxy war in Ukraine and with time now running out, the current regime continues to pour the U.S. taxpayers’ money into a lost cause.

The Biden administration announced another $988 million in military aid to the notoriously corrupt Eastern European country, rushing to rob the train before Trump takes office on January 20, 2025.

On Saturday, outgoing Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin delivered the news when speaking to reporters at the Reagan National Defense Forum in Simi Valley, California.

“The troubles of our times will only grow worse without strong and steady American leadership,” the former Raytheon board member said as he announced the latest gift to the Zelenskyy regime which has raked in the dough despite very serious issues on the homefront that have received scant attention from an administration obsessed with foreign wars.

“The United States has committed more than $58 billion in security assistance to Ukraine, and some 50 nations around the world have stepped up for Ukraine. Ukraine’s fight for freedom matters. Supporting Ukraine isn’t just the right thing to do—it’s in America’s vital interest,” Austin said in a Saturday post to X.

The aid comes after another $725 million was announced last Monday. That package includes “counter-drone systems and munitions for its High Mobility Artillery Rocket System, which could indicate more of the longer-range missiles are headed to the battlefield,” according to the Associated Press.

Austin’s announcement drew a strong reaction from Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) who wrote in on X, “Not our war. Not Lloyd Austin’s money.”

The early Christmas gift for Zelenskyy comes on the same day that the Ukrainian leader met with Trump while attending the reopening ceremony of the historic Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris where he couldn’t even be bothered to wear a suit for the important event.

“This administration has made its choice, and so has a bipartisan coalition in Congress,” Austin said. “The next administration must make its own choice. From this library, from this podium, I am confident that President Reagan would have stood on the side of Ukraine, American security, and human freedom,” invoking the name of the legendary president who ended the Cold War and has since been used to justify the ongoing looting of Americans.
