James Carville’s “southern soothsayer” act earned a scathing response from one Fox Business anchor after his latest gripe over the election outcome.
“Suck it, ya’ a**hole!”

As Tyrus guest-hosted Friday’s edition of “Gutfeld!” references to the Ragin’ Cajun as the “Louisiana lizardman” were only the start of the insults during the video of the day segment. After airing his recent gripe about the incumbent not stepping out of the race sooner, essentially handing President-elect Donald Trump his victory, commentator Dagen McDowell’s message was how President Joe Biden wasn’t the only octogenarian whose time had come to “go away.”
Having played clips of Carville asserting that Biden was the “most tragic figure in modern American politics,” Tyrus asked McDowell, “as a leader of the southern way, does Carville need to chill out?”
“He needs to go away,” she replied bluntly.
“Why are millions of southerners who supported President Trump, voted for President Trump, called ‘rubes,’ and ‘deplorables’ and ‘garbage,’ and the Democrats hold out this peach pit, this dehydrated alligator,” she continued before altering her voice to mimic Carville’s accent, “like he’s some sort of wise southern soothsayer?”
“No, he’s not! Here’s what he had to say about [Vice President] Kamala Harris,” McDowell carried on, once again changing her voice. “We’re gonna win baby! He wrote this in The New York Times, ‘Kamala Harris is gonna win. Three reasons I’m certain.”
Adding an exclamation point of the over 77 million voters that chose Trump over Harris, she closed her take with, “Suck it, ya’ a**hole!”
As had been covered, the Democratic strategist had dismissed concerns about Biden’s supposed turnaround on pardoning his son, Hunter Biden, after repeatedly claiming he wouldn’t, and instead focused on the timing when the Democratic leader had ended his re-election bid.
“I don’t pay any attention to it because I think everybody lies about sex and everybody’s going to do whatever they’re going to do with their own children,” he argued. “But the different scenario would be, if he would have won this election. And it wouldn’t have been that close because we’d have had so many frickin’ talented people that were running and he would be sitting here right now getting ready to leave on a high note, they would be naming commissions to figure out what are we going to name after him.”

The analysis, to McDowell’s point, was a far cry from what Carville himself had asserted in his Oct. 23 op-ed for The New York Times writing, “While I am not one to take part in the political prediction industry — recently ballooned by mysterious crypto investments gambling on a Donald Trump victory — today I am pulling my stool up to the political poker table to throw my chips all in: America, it will all be OK. Ms Harris will be elected the next president of the United States. Of this, I am certain.”
Before the rest of the panel on “Gutfeld!” could weigh in with their own takes, McDowell suggested the one reason people still tuned in to hear from Carville was, “because he might be sittin’ on the commode.”
