During Friday’s White House press briefing, press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre finally faced questions over President Biden’s pardon of son Hunter.
KJP was forced to address previous statements from both the press podium and the president claiming Hunter Biden would not receive a pardon.
While attempting to spin the pardon story, KJP was also called out for misrepresenting a recent YouGov poll.
According to Newsweek, “In the survey conducted on Monday, YouGov polled 3,583 U.S. adults asking if they approve or disapprove of President Biden pardoning his son. Fifteen percent somewhat disapprove, and 35 percent strongly disapprove.”
“The survey also shows that 17 percent strongly approve, and another 17 percent somewhat approve of the president’s move. Sixteen percent were not sure, the poll shows.”
KJP falsely claimed that 64% of Americans agreed with the pardon.
