A GOP-led House committee has concluded that COVID-19 “most likely emerged from a laboratory in Wuhan, China,” despite attempts by U.S. and Chinese government officials to claim otherwise.

The conclusion is tucked away in a 520-page report produced by the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic.

The report was produced following a two-year investigation that involved 30 transcribed interviews/depositions and 25 hearings/meetings.

“Four years after the onset of the worst pandemic in 100 years, the weight of the evidence increasingly supports the lab leak hypothesis,” the report reads.

“Since the Select Subcommittee commenced its work in February 2023, more and more senior intelligence officials, politicians, science editors, and scientists increasingly have endorsed the hypothesis that COVID-191 emerged as the result of a laboratory or research-related accident,” it continues.

The report goes on to highlight the fact that multiple public officials in China and the U.S. tried diligently to cover up evidence confirming the legitimacy of the lab leak theory.

“The Chinese government, agencies within the U.S. Government, and some members of the international scientific community sought to cover up facts concerning the origins of the pandemic,” the report reads.

As an example, the report notes that former National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) boss Dr. Anthony Fauci encouraged the writing of an academic paper designed to undermine the lab leak theory.

He later cited the same academic paper during a press conference alongside then-President Donald Trump:

The report also concludes that the National Institutes of Health (NIH) indirectly funded gain-of-function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV), which is where COVID-19 is suspected to have leaked from.

The research was reportedly facilitated by EcoHealth Alliance, “a non-profit scientific research organization that is primarily funded by U.S. taxpayer dollars [NID grants].” EcoHealth’s boss is Dr. Peter Daszak, a longtime collaborator with the WIV.

“Beginning in April 2020, NIH investigated both EcoHealth and Dr. Daszak for numerous grant policy violations and accusations of facilitating dangerous research at the WIV,” the report reads. “Starting in February 2023, the Select Subcommittee began its own investigation into EcoHealth.”

“In July 2023, HHS debarred the WIV for a period of 10 years for noncompliance. Further, in May 2024, as a direct result of the Select Subcommittee’s investigation, HHS immediately suspended and proposed for debarment both EcoHealth, as an institution, and Dr. Daszak, as an individual,” the report continues.

As of December of this year, neither has been disbarred yet.

The report also slams disgraced former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo for committing “medical malpractice” during the height of the COVID pandemic.

“Many states issued guidance intended to reduce exposure to COVID-19 for vulnerable populations in nursing homes and long-term care facilities,” the report reads. “Namely, this included restricting individuals diagnosed with COVID-19 from accessing these facilities.”

“However, a handful of states—including New York—failed to institute similar guidance. Instead, New York issued an order that effectively required nursing homes and long-term care facilities to admit COVID-19-positive individuals,” the report continues.

On March 25th, 2020, to be exact, Cuomo signed an executive order directing that “[n]o resident shall be denied re-admission or admission to the [nursing home] solely based on a confirmed or suspected diagnosis of COVID-19” and that “[nursing homes] are prohibited from requiring a hospitalized resident who is determined medically stable to be tested from COVID-19 prior to admission or re-admission.”

The order lasted for six weeks, during which time 9,000+ COVID-19 patients were admitted to nursing homes across New York.

The report also slams the Biden-Harris administration over its vaccine mandate and slams school lockdowns for engendering a whole host of learning challenges for kids.
