Georgia Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene has a plan for her new House subcommittee aimed at eliminating federal government waste and spending.

She was appointed to head the subcommittee by House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer and she will work closely with Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy, who are heading DOGE (Department Of Government Efficiency), she explained on Fox News Sunday.

“We’ll be looking at everything from government-funded media programs like NPR that spread nothing but Democrat propaganda, we’ll be going into grant programs that fund things like sex apps in Malaysia, toilets in Africa,” she said to host Maria Bartiromo. “I want to talk to the people at the Pentagon and ask them why they can’t find billions of dollars every single year and why they fail their audit, but not just that.”

NPR is seen by many conservatives as being a propaganda machine for the Democrat Party and Musk even labeled the network “State Media” on his X platform.

She said she will also go after “sanctuary” cities and states and threaten to pull funding from them.

“I’d like to … have them come before our committee and explain why they deserve federal dollars if they’re going to harbor illegal criminal aliens in their states and cities,” the representative said.

“We don’t care about people’s feelings — we’re going to be searching for the facts and we’re going to be verifying if this is worth spending the American people’s hard-earned tax dollars on,” she said.

And she said that she would look into the many federal buildings the government owns and pays for that are not being used.

‘We’re also looking at many – we have thousands – of buildings that the federal government owns and pays for with over $15 billion a year, but yet those government buildings stood empty and these government employees stay at home,” she said.
