Left-wing comedians just never learn.
Ronny Chieng, a comedian and correspondent on The Daily Show, has described conservatives who support Donald Trump as “fucking morons.”
He made the remarks during an appearance on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! during which he was asked about his experiences covering Trump’s spectacular election victory.
“Covering the election live in America was both a dream come true as a political historian junkie, a U.S. political history junkie, and was also like watching a car slowly crash into the country and there’s not much you can do about it at that point other than make dumb jokes about it,” he said.
Chieng insists he has nothing against conservatives but that those who aligned with Donald Trump are not very bright.
“There’s nothing inherently evil or bad about the conservative mindset,” he continued. “I just think that we would like to have conservatives who aren’t fucking morons.”
“Just be smart, just intelligent, reasonable,” he added.
Both Kimmel and the audience laughed hysterically before bursting into a round of applause.
Chieng, who also starred in the 2018 film Crazy Rich Asians, says his love for American has led him to make friends with some MAGA friends.
“I’m trying,” he said. “That’s how much I love America I’m making friends with MAGA people.”

Kimmel, meanwhile, is also licking his wounds after throwing his weight behind Kamala Harris.
The night after Trump’s spectacular victory, Kimmel choked up on air as he talked about how illegal aliens will be affected by his return to the White House.
“Let’s be honest: it was a terrible night last night,” he said, choking back the tears. “It was a terrible night for women, for children, for the hundreds of thousands of hardworking immigrants who make this country go.”
