A House Republican is demanding answers from Secretary of State Antony Blinken over what was described as a State Department-sponsored therapy “cry session” for emotionally fragile workers who were distraught over the election.

Earlier this month, the Washington Free Beacon reported on the counseling offered to employees after President-elect Donald J. Trump pulverized Kamala Harris, a landslide victory that showed Americans as a whole rejected the propaganda that he was the second coming of Hitler and that “democracy” itself was on the ballot.

In a letter to the nation’s top diplomat, Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) said that the therapy sessions were “disturbing” and that “nonpartisan government officials” should not be experiencing a “personal meltdown over the result of a free and fair election.”

“I am concerned that the Department is catering to federal employees who are personally devastated by the normal functioning of American democracy through the provision of government-funded mental health counseling because Kamala Harris was not elected President of the United States,” Issa wrote, according to Fox News.

The Free Beacon reported on the emails informing employees of the alleged therapy sessions, one of which was called “Managing stress during change,” in which the distraught federal government workers could work through their feelings about the election, a sad commentary on the workplace culture at Foggy Bottom under Blinken.

“Change is a constant in our lives, but it can often bring about stress and uncertainty,” the email read. “Join us for an insightful webinar where we delve into effective stress management techniques to help you navigate these challenging times. This session will provide tips and practical strategies for managing stress and maintaining your well-being.”

“For four years, within the rank and file, there has been an over-emphasis on people’s feelings, often with a college campus-like fervor, rather than the work of advancing America’s interests,” a source told the WFB of the “cry session” for the federal employees.

“This meeting was hopefully the last gasp of that,” added the source who observed that there’s “lots to unf—k” at the department after the last four years of the Biden-Harris regime.

“The mere fact that the Department is hosting these sessions raises significant questions about the willingness of its personnel to implement the lawful policy priorities that the American people elected President Trump to pursue and implement,” Issa said in the letter.

“The Trump Administration has a mandate for wholesale change in the foreign policy arena, and if foreign service officers cannot follow through on the American people’s preferences, they should resign and seek a political appointment in the next Democrat administration.” the GOP lawmaker added.

A source told the Washington Free Beacon that the therapy session sent the message that “the State Department is filled with partisan Democrats who are unwilling or unable to faithfully serve in the Trump administration.”

Blinken will soon be gone and it will be incoming Secretary of State Marco Rubio’s job to clean up his mess.
