Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., will reportedly lead a new subcommittee that will work with the Department of Government Efficiency.
Sources told CNBC News that House Oversight Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., has met with Vivek Ramaswamy, who will co-lead the department with Elon Musk, to discuss the subcommittee and its role.
The panel will reportedly bear the name “Subcommittee on Delivering on Government Efficiency.”
“I’m excited to chair this new subcommittee designed to work hand in hand with President Trump, Elon Musk, Vivek Ramaswamy, and the entire DOGE team,” Greene told the outlet in a statement.
She said the hearings that the new committee would hold could lead to firings of government bureaucrats.
The purpose of the DOGE will be to shrink the size of government and uproot bureaucracy.
