Leftist celebrities vowed they would move out of the U.S. if Donald Trump won the election and some, it seems, are making good on their promises.

Comedian and former talk show host Ellen DeGeneres has reportedly packed up and crossed the pond, vowing she is “never” coming back after Trump trounced Democrat darling Kamala Harris on November 5.

The 66-year-old comedian and her wife, Portia de Rossi have reportedly moved to Great Britain with plans to sell their Montecito estate in California. The couple, who got married in 2008, had already moved to the rural Cotswolds in a home they bought before the election, according to TMZ which cited “sources with direct knowledge.”

They were reportedly “very disillusioned” with the election results and, according to one source, they immediately chose “to get the hell out” of the U.S.

“Though the incoming Republican administration was the cited catalyst, a fresh start couldn’t hurt: DeGeneres has been open about being ‘kicked out of show business’ after reports of toxic workplace behavior at the syndicated ‘Ellen’ show in 2022,” The Wrap reported.

DeGeneres had publicly endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris in August, writing in a caption on Instagram: “There’s nothing more powerful than a woman whose time has come!! I can’t wait for @KamalaHarris to be our next president.”

DeGeneres and de Rossi, 51, reportedly bought their California mansion which is located about 90 minutes north of Los Angeles for $27 million in 2019. According to The Wrap, it has now been “pocket-listed or will be listed soon” for sale. Their new British home will find them neighbors to other celebrities such as David and Victoria Beckham, Kate Moss, Elizabeth Hurley, and Jeremy Clarkson, according to the New York Post.

“The area is also home to royalty, as King Charles and Queen Camilla own Highgrove House in Gloucestershire,” the outlet noted.

“OMG… no!” British journalist Piers Morgan snarked on X in response to the report of the move.

Billionaire Elon Musk wished them a “Bon voyage.”

Others on social media also chimed in.

“Not only do we get an America First government, but the trash takes itself out. Win/Win!” actor James Woods wrote on X.

“Good riddance,” one X user wrote. “If Ellen wants to live in a place where government dictates thought and speech, she’s found her match. For real Americans, freedom remains non-negotiable.”
