An illegal immigrant with six priors in the last ten months was all smiles, seemingly impressed with the—media coverage he was receiving—as authorities arrested him for an obscene robbery involving a prosecutor working in the office of Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg.

Brandon Simosa, a 25-year-old criminal alien from Venezuela with ties to the “bloodthirsty” Tren de Aragua gang, was arrested and charged with numerous violations, including sexually motivated robbery, grand larceny, and criminal possession of stolen property.

Simosa, according to a New York Post exclusive, was spotted by a 38-year-old assistant district attorney working for Bragg as he was allegedly masturbating in the hallway of her apartment complex.

Imagine coming home to that at 2 a.m. on a Sunday morning. It must have been horrifying. In fact, it shocked the woman so much that she dropped her phone, prompting Simosa to grab it and run. The phone’s location was later traced to an illegal immigrant shelter in Midtown Manhattan.

The man was arrested, leading to this absolutely infuriating display of pride and joy over the ensuing coverage as he was loaded into an unmarked police vehicle.

New York City is broken. From sanctuary city directives to laughable bail reform policies, right back to a DA in Bragg who seemingly views Donald Trump as the only person worth pursuing. It is dreadfully, irrevocably broken.

Simosa’s arrest is a veritable case study on that fact. He was reportedly caught by authorities in Eagle Pass, Texas, in October 2023. Yes, the same Eagle Pass where Fox News reporter Bill Melugin was taking video of endless swarms of illegals crossing into the United States for months on end.

Even ABC News was reporting around that time that Venezuelans, by the thousands, were hopping on trains to cross the border. Some were heard shouting, “God bless Mexico!” as they desperately tried to leave … well, Mexico. Others were waving Venezuelan flags.

So the system worked, you might say. Simosa was apprehended, meaning all was right in the world, right?

Wrong.

The Post reports that federal sources indicate he was “cut loose with a notice to appear before an immigration judge in New York City.”

Ah, the ol’ pinky promise to show up for court didn’t work, eh? Who could have possibly seen that coming? And this particular Venezuelan illegal didn’t strictly follow a straight line to the Bragg assistant’s apartment complex so he could go Jeffrey Toobin in the hallway.

No, he was arrested. Many times. Six priors in the past ten months, according to authorities, which include but are not limited to a domestic assault and three separate grand larcenies. Some of these cases are still open. And yet, he was back on the streets, living rent-free in a shelter.

Odd, isn’t it, how illegally crossing the border is essentially a gateway to more abhorrent crimes? Despite the fact that Democrats would have you believe illegal aliens “actually” commit crime at a lower rate.

They actually commit crimes at a rate of 100 percent by being here illegally.

Simosa, officials tell the Post, also has ties to the Tren de Aragua prison gang.

The Miami Herald has previously described Tren de Aragua as a “bloodthirsty” gang with “many” members known for their “wanton use of violence.”

The gang operates as an “umbrella organization for smaller gangs specialized in all types of crimes, from kidnapping, extortion and drug trafficking to prostitution, robbery and murders for hire,” the Herald reports.

Video of Simosa’s arrest is reminiscent and equally as infuriating as the perp walk by one of several illegal immigrants who assaulted two NYPD officers earlier this year. You know the one.

Bragg was on the receiving end of some severe backlash when he released a statement within hours of the attack – which was captured on video – explaining that the assailants had simply been released.

The criminal illegals were later apprehended and given slap-on-the-wrist plea deals.

Bragg is often pilloried by critics for what they believe are his “soft on crime” policies.

Elon Musk, who President-elect Donald Trump announced would lead the Department of Government Efficiency, or DOGE, suggested the robbery of one of Bragg’s aides amounted to one reaping what they sow.

“Karma is real,” he wrote, sharing the video of Simosa’s arrest.
