Outspoken Rep. Nancy Mace was forced on Wednesday to explain to a leftist news anchor that a man is a man, not a woman.
Mace was at the time on the Scripps News network speaking about her resolution to ban “transgender women” like Rep.-elect Sarah McBride, a Democrat, from using the women’s restrooms on Capitol grounds.
It was during this discussion that anchor Liz Landers decided to assert that McBride “identifies” (pretends to be) a woman.

“I just want to add that the congresswoman-elect does identify as a woman,” Landers said. “I will be referring to her in that way.”
“She’s not a woman!” Mace promptly fired back, though she accidentally used the pronoun “she.” “It’s a MAN! She was born a man! She’s a man! She is biologically a male. That is science.”
“You guys on the left in the mainstream media want to say ‘follow the science.’ Let’s follow the science, OK? He is a man. He can wear a dress, he can call himself whatever pronouns, can be she or her, but he doesn’t belong in a women’s restroom, period!” she added.
Landers replied by asking her if she was “suggesting that the representative-elect McBride poses some kind of danger to you and other women in Congress?”
“Absolutely!” Mace replied. “One hundred percent. This is an assault on women. A man being a biological man — a man with a penis, male genitalia — being in a women’s locker room is an assault on women. And so the question is, do I have rights as a woman or not?”
“And I’m not going to allow the media or Congress to strip away women’s rights for one-half of one percent of people out there. More than likely, he’s got a mental illness, and this is why he’s doing this. He should not be forcing his private parts into women’s private spaces. I’m absolutely a no, hard pass on this. I’m going to fight it every step of the way,” she added.

Landers then hilariously asked Mace if she was “diagnosing, right now, an incoming member of Congress with a mental illness?”
“I’m not sure how you would know that,” she added.
Mace replied with fire and fury.
“I am absolutely diagnosing anyone who cross-dresses with a mental illness,” she said. “And in fact, by the way, I’m getting death threats from men dressed up as women who want to kill me because I don’t want penises in women’s bathroom.”
Speaking with reporters a day earlier, Mace justified her resolution by citing her experience as a rape survivor.
“I have PTSD from the abuse I’ve suffered at the hands of a man, and I know how vulnerable women and girls are in private spaces, so I’m absolutely 100 percent going to stand in the way of any man who wants to be in a women’s restroom, in our locker rooms, in our changing rooms,” she said. “I will be there fighting you every step of the way.”
She also revealed her plans to eventually push a resolution that would ban “transgender women” from using the women’s restroom on all federal property.
“Number one, I want to see this in the House Rules package,” she said. “I want to make sure that no men are in women’s private spaces. And it’s not going to end here. This shouldn’t be going on any federal property. If you’re a school or an institution that gets government funding, this kind of thing should be banned. I think it’s sick. It’s twisted.”
“I have fought like hell for women’s rights. I mean, 25 years ago, this year, I became the first woman to break the glass ceiling and graduate from a military college that was formerly all male, and to see the way that I’ve been attacked today and last night for fighting to protect women and girls — it’s ridiculous. So, if that — being a feminist makes me an extremist, I’m totally here for it,” she added.
Asked if her resolution is specifically targeting McBride, she answered, “Yes, and absolutely, and then some.”

REPORTER: Is this effort in response to Congresswoman McBride coming to Congress?
