According to the New York Post, Jose Ibarra, the illegal migrant who murdered Georgia nursing student Laken Riley, may have flown to Georgia from NYC on a “humanitarian flight.”

Ibarra’s roommate/partner Rosebeli Flores-Bello revealed the bombshell during testimony on Monday.

From The New York Post:

Rosebeli Flores-Bello, who said she lived with Laken’s accused killer and two other men in an apartment in Athens, suggested through an interpreter that she, Ibarra and an unknown number of others traveled to the Peach State after requesting the flight from the Roosevelt Hotel in Manhattan, which had been established as a temporary residence site for migrants arriving in the Big Apple.

New York City set up a so-called “reticketing center” in October 2023 which provided migrants with one-way plane tickets anywhere in the world in an effort to relieve pressure on city services which were inundated by the arrival of more than 130,000 asylum seekers.

It was not immediately clear if Ibarra acquired his ticket through the program.

Fox News border correspondent Bill Melugin shared the news on X, saying “NEW: The “partner” of Jose Ibarra, the Venezuelan illegal alien charged w/ murdering Laken Riley, just testified in his trial that she & Ibarra went to the Roosevelt hotel in NYC to ask for a humanitarian flight to Atlanta, GA in September 2023. She says they got the flight, then Ibarra’s brother picked them up from ATL airport and drove them to Athens, GA, where prosecutors say he murdered Riley this year.”
