I can never remember if it’s politics that is downstream from culture or culture that’s downstream from politics. One is a popular saying, the other is Andrew Breitbart’s popular version of the saying. Whichever is swimming toward the other, something has happened since Election Day. Any concern Americans have had in admitting they didn’t hate Donald Trump, let alone that they like him, is gone. And not just in diners and at Little League games. Professional athletes are showing their love by performing the Trump dance in celebration of winning.

Most notable was the undisputed GOAT, UFC Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones. After dominating Stipe Miocic, Jones did the dance with Trump in attendance and even gave the President-Elect a shout-out.

Then, all day Sunday, NFL players were doing the dance to celebrate feats on the gridiron.

Wait, my bad. That just a clip of Josh Allen being inhuman. I know I put the MAGA Shuffle compilation clip here somewhere…

The left and the media (but I repeat myself) will dismiss the value and importance of this occurring. When they do, ask them why soooo much energy (and apparently hundreds of millions of dollars) went towards astroturfing Kamala Harris as a “vibe” that had celebrities pretending how cool she was. Because crossing over from politics to becoming a cultural phenomenon matters. Voters are more open to supporting you if they like you.

Where it’s the most devastating for the left and the media (but I repeat myself) is because of how much energy was spent over the past eight years focused on making up reasons to hate Trump. The last week before the election alone was focused on LYING that he called for Liz Cheney to be executed. They through every at Trump. What they got instead was the most decisive win for a Republican in decades.

The question is if Trump and the GOP are smart enough to ride that popularity to success and get some much-needed reforms to how this country operates done. Moreso the GOP than Trump. The President-Elect is a phenomenon in and of himself. How will the rest of the party take advantage of it, though?
