Hall of Fame basketball player Charles Barkley isn’t one to shy away from saying what’s on his mind. Oftentimes, he’ll deliver scathing commentary with all the subtlety of an elbow to an Angolan player in the Olympics.

(Some of our more seasoned readers — like me — will get that reference.)
Barkley is an unapologetic Democrat voter who supports Democrat causes. But he has something not often seen on the other side of the aisle: common sense.
So when the topic of the presidential election was broached with Ernie Johnson in an episode of “The Steam Room” podcast, the former NBA Most Valuable Player had some thoughts. Some devastating thoughts.
Barkley kicked off his appearance by sincerely thanking veterans on Veterans Day and honored some individuals who had recently passed. And then he started wading into the election by — *checks notes* — congratulating President-elect Donald Trump.
“Okay, I want to congratulate President-elect Trump. Y’all won fair and square; I want to congratulate you. I want you to do the best for the American people,” he began before getting very, very frank with Democrats raging over the loss.
“I wish him nothing but the best, but we lost,” Barkley said. “And I just want to say this to the Democrats — I’m an Independent who voted Democratic. Do me this favor: Shut the f— up! When you win, you get to say what you want to; when you lose, you need to shut the hell up.”
The Philadelphia legend then offered a blunt assessment as to why Kamala Harris and her campaign lost.

“We lost because we had no game plan,” Barkley continued. “We still haven’t solved the immigration problem…never addressed inflation. Bringing all these stupid stars out to rally the vote, what was that? I love Beyoncé. That ain’t gonna make me vote a certain type of way.”
“You guys lost because y’all stupid. Come up with solutions.”
Sir Charles then urged Democrats to get off the nonsense that the President-elect and his supporters are racist.
“I don’t think everybody who voted for Trump is racist or whatever,” he said. “I’m not a fan of the guy, but he’s the president. I’m gonna have to respect the office.”
Try getting an actual Democrat politician to admit that. In fact, despite the incendiary rhetoric getting a clear rebuke by the American people on November 5th, the minority party and their media puppets have now decided that it’s not just white Trump supporters who are racists, but it’s Blacks and Hispanics, too.
“Everybody I disagree with is a racist” is a bold strategy. Not a winning strategy, but a bold one nonetheless.
Barkley contends that voting for somebody doesn’t make you all of the negative things Democrats have portrayed Trump voters as. And maybe instead of focusing on that and placating celebrities, try focusing on things that actually matter.

“People can vote for who they want to. I voted for Kamala. But like I said, we didn’t win…it’s all our faults for not having a game plan,” he seethed. “We’re not having concerts and rallies. People want solutions, they want money in their pocket, they want the border secure.”

Charles proceeded to note the crime situation in America under the Biden-Harris administration, suggesting people just want to go into a store to buy toothpaste without “all the s— locked up.”
Blunt. Brutal. To the point.
The NBA Dream Teamer has previously made comments about crime that riled up the left, noting that the liberal cesspool of San Francisco hosting an All-Star game meant “being around a bunch of homeless crooks.”
Charles Barkley again bashed San Francisco, this time around talk of the cold in Indianapolis. “If you had the chance between being cold or being around a bunch of homeless crooks in San Francisco, which would you take?” pic.twitter.com/o0W9aUQCyI

He has, in the past, relentlessly hammered politicians for unnecessarily causing racial and economic divide in America. And he has been a strong supporter of law enforcement, staring down the “defund the police” leftists by insisting reform was a better way to go since “most of the cops do a fantastic job.”

Barkley did, however, suggest he’d like to punch any Black people wearing t-shirts of Trump’s mugshot. Can’t win ’em all.
The basketball star is a supporter of Democrats. But he’s not a supporter of stupidity. And that’s the only thing the Harris campaign dished out for weeks on end leading up to the election.
Charles is right. They had zero solutions. They didn’t care about the price of milk and eggs. They didn’t care that illegals were being charged left and right with murders and sexual assaults. They didn’t care about the American people, period. And it showed.
“You guys lost because y’all stupid.”
