Oh, Disney. All that sweet ESG money can’t be worth this. The publicly owned media company (where Vanguard is the largest shareholder and Blackrock is #2) hasn’t gone broke enough going woke. Their latest dumpster fire is the live-action Snow White and the… actually, they canceled the seven dwarves (and the jobs that would have gone to little people actors) because Peter Dinklage got angry. It’s only Snow White and actress Rachel Zegler, who hates over half of America judging by her latest rant.

Zegler, a noted cyberbully, went viral last summer when she made clear in interviews she hated everything about the original movie that people have loved for generations. Which, whatever. There is a push in Hollywood to take beloved properties and turn them into nothing more than a platform for a niche progressive audience. Zegler is hardly the only entertainer who doesn’t know what she doesn’t know.

She is also hardly the only entertainer who doesn’t like Donald Trump. However, other entertainers have the sense to hide how much they hate over half of the country.

Some highlights from Rachel’s recent Instagram rant:

“another four years of hatred, leaning us towards a world i do not want to live in… may trump supporters and trump voters and trump himself never know peace.”

“there is also a deep, deep sickness in this country that is shown in the sheer amount of people who showed up for this man who threatens our democracy … there is no help, no counsel, in any of them.”

Don’t get me wrong. Rachel Zegler has the same right to express her political opinions as Gina Carano does. Even if Rachel Zegler doesn’t think Gina Carano has the same right to express her political opinions as Rachel Zegler does. And Snow White isn’t a movie I was ever going to see.

But if you’re Disney, you have a string of multi-million dollar flops, and you are already in for close to $270 million on a movie that has already been pushed back on the schedule. I can see how frustrating it would be to have your lead actress always looking for new ways to tell people not to waste their money.
