The holiday season is typically the most miserable time of the year for perpetually sour leftists and that is double the case now that Donald J. Trump has resoundingly won the election.

There are some who are openly encouraging bitter Democrats to shun their conservative family members during this year’s festivities and “The View” co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg and Sunny Hostin endorsed the idea to their audience.

On Tuesday’s edition of the popular ABC daytime talk show, the ladies at the table were discussing the suggestion of Yale University psychologist Dr. Amanda Calhoun that leftists should work out their frustrations over the election by refusing to participate in family celebrations like Thanksgiving, especially those who are homosexuals or transgenders.

House racist Sunny Hostin agreed with Calhoun, trashing Trump by invoking former President George W. Bush whose image has been completely rehabilitated with leftists who once despised him.

“I completely understand her point because I really do feel that this candidate — you know, President-elect Trump — is just a different type of candidate, from the things he said, and the things he’s done, and the things he will do,” she said of Calhoun. “It’s more of a moral issue for me, and I think it’s more of a moral issue for other people. We’re just — I would say it was different when, let’s say George Bush got elected. You may not have agreed with his policies, but you didn’t feel like he was a deeply flawed person — deeply flawed by character, deeply flawed in morality.”

“I appreciate the voters, but I will say somebody who tells me that my child is wrong because of how he or she feels, that tells me that they shouldn’t be allowed to be who they are with my permission, I have to question it. I don’t want to put my kid in that position,” Goldberg said, indicating that she’s down with the shunning of loved ones over political differences.

“You know, there are certain things you don’t have to put your family in the middle of it. You can have dinner at another point but it might not be the time to gather, because you know there’s going to be some tension,” she added.

Calhoun called for the holiday season discord during a weekend appearance on MSNBC where she pitched the divisive idea to host Joy Reid.

“There is a societal push that, if somebody is your family, they are entitled to your time. And I think the answer is absolutely not,” Dr. Calhoun told the hateful host, responding to her question about whether aggrieved leftists should feel obligated to break bread with their Trump supporting kin during the holiday season.

“So if you are going to a situation where you have family members, where you have close friends who you know have voted in ways that are against you, like what you said, against your livelihood, it’s completely fine to not be around those people and to tell them why, to say, ‘I have a problem with the way that you voted because it went against my very livelihood, and I’m not going to be around you this holiday. I need to take some space for me,’” she advised.

On the positive side, if leftists heed the advice, their family members will have a much more peaceful and enjoyable experience at the holiday table without them.
